One of the Coastside's few bars that opens before noon, Old Princeton Landing is a true-blue dive. Just ask Neil Young, who used the inconspicuous bar as a venue for a stack of secret shows he played with Crazy Horse in 1996. Old Princeton Landing is a brass-tacks drinking establishment with two pool tables, a few dart boards, pinball, a large backyard, and a small space for local bands, DJs, and karaoke. The fireplace, which is often stoked, is a good spot to weather the cold, wind, and fog that smothers the area. The bar doesn't serve food, but the cafe next door, Cafe Capistrano (also known as Arturo's Mayan Cuisine), serves super-fresh Mexican seafood plates until 5pm nightly. "I would stay open later," Arturo says, "but I don't like the drunk people coming in."
