Very misleading title!!!! 8/6/2012

My husband and I recently borded our dogs at OLD FARM VET and while I am sure the vet services are wonderful, I was not impressed with the boarding services.. The first dissappointment for me was the misleading name. We booked our two large dogs at OLD FARM VET for 3 days while we were in the area visiting family on vacation. I felt comfortable entrusting to them to a place with the title of "old farm vet" but was very dissappointed and worried when we discovered this was a very misleading title. This pet service is located in a strip mall and the dogs are kept in small cages in the basement! When we picked up our dogs, the staff seemed uninterested and disconnected...almost irritated when we asked about their stay! Also,, our dogs had bare "hot spots" on their elbows and hips where they had been laying on the hard concrete for too long. I would not recommend this place to bored your dogs....needless to say, I was not impressed and dissappointed with the whole experience more

Dr Wilson has my trust! 1/31/2011

I would recommend THIS Vet(Dr. Derrick Wilson) to anyone who wants a Vet who they can count on! He is a dedicated Vet,who cares about your pet,not just the pocket book. Never has he ever been anything but professional and caring when it comes to his practice. Give him a try, you will not regret it!! more

Caring beyond hours 1/29/2011

There was a Doctor W there, and now there is another Doctor W there. The new Dr W. Dr. Wilson, is great. he is always caring, and is willing to stay way beyond the time limits to help an injured animal. I could not get to his hospital during hours, when my puppy needed help, and he waited until I could get there, and then took the time to treat my puppy and explain to me how to care for him. He was very kind and caring. much more than the other vets had been. What a nice change! more

Willing to go the extra mile... 1/24/2011

I came home from work late to find that one of my cats was dragging her leg as though it were broken. I called our regular vet who would not see her as they were getting ready to close. I called Dr. Wilson who not only took the appointment, but stayed late to see my cat. Even though he should have been closing and heading home to his family, he took his time with our cat to determine what was wrong. And, many xrays later, I was very pleasantly suprised at how reasonable his prices were. I would highly recommend Dr. Wilson and his practice to anyone. more

Good doctor 1/21/2011

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Walcoff. My cats were affected by the tainted cat food and Dr. Walcoff saved their lives. It was very expensive and we were unable to afford the treatment towards the end as they needed shots etc every day. He let me bring them in twice a day and did the shots etc for free until they were healed. He does care about the animals, he saved my cats lives. We moved to Egypt for work in the beginning of 2008 so I did not know the practice was sold. more

Care more about money than animals 11/3/2010

I was completely unsatisfied with the services of Dr. W. and his staff at OFVH. The prices are outrageous and he does not accept any sort of voucher programs for spaying/neutering strays, which is a clear indication that he is only interested in money and not the well-being of animals. I suggest that anyone looking for a vet in the area go to New Market Animal Clinic where the staff have been practicing vetmed for decades and have not forgotten why they became vets in the first place. more

I hope it's a new vet. 9/16/2010

I don't know who you all are talking about, but years ago when I took my bunny there, I was treated like crap. Dr. W... told me he had an emergency, the second visit i was there, and asked me to wait in the room with my bunny. No problem. I completely understood. he then came back and in an irate tone asked me why I was still there. I was perfectly willing to reschedule even though I was of course worried about my bunny. I did not say anything about it. He always acted like I was a moron for not being able to catch my bunny. (You can easily break a bunnies back if you don't know what you are doing.) I was informed that when he had my bunny over night, that he could not catch her either and in fact brought in a 13 year old boy who just snatched her up. I did not say anything then either, but reading these reviews...Is there a new vet there? Another odd note...He swore he knew me from somewhere. I did not know him. Maybe I reminded him of someone he didn't like, but if so, he should have more
