I have stayed at the Old Consulate Inn three times, most recently in July 2011. This lovely home has new owners who have really tuned up the inn. It has always been a great home and a wonderful place to stay but now the extra fussiness found in many B&Bs is gone, leaving comfortable Victorian inspired surroundings.
The breakfasts are wonderful and will last you until dinner. The main hot course was fresh and prepared just for us as we sat down. There was also a buffet of fruits, cheeses, cold cereals, etc. if you desire. Personally, I advise that you hold out for the hot dish! I look forward to the next time I am able to ""get away"" to the Old Consulate Inn.
