Bad: THE HOT AIR BALLOON THAT I PURCHASED WAS OUTSIDE FOR ABOUT A MONTH-AND THEN THE SWIVEL BROKE...OLD KITE SAID IT WAS NOT GUARANTEED ONCE IT LEFT THEIR STORE. SINCE THEY COULD NOT CONTROL THE ELEMENTS...WHEN I LOOKED AT THE SWIVEL-I SAW THAT THE INSIDE STEM HAD RUSTED...SO A PRODUCT MEANT FOR OUTDOORS WAS NOT WEATHERFROOF....THANK YOU CHINA...ONE MORE INFERIOR PRODUCT....I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND-OLD KITE...... Other: MAKE SURE THEY SELL PRODUCTS DESIGNED TO BE USED OUTDOORS-THAT DO NOT RUST....... more

The Best 3/19/2006

One of Old Sacramento's main stay shops. This kite shop is fun to check out and look at all the different kites. I don't thing you can find a place around old town to fly them though. Except down by the train museum I believe there is a little bit of space and grass. Kids love this place. If you are just going to the kite store not to tour old town. Try to park on the street not the parking lot, although the parking lot which is near the Capital Bridge is right on top of the kite shop. more

Fun, but not so much for the kids 11/12/2005

Old City Kites is a fun shop in Old Sacramento filled with (of course!) kites and other toys and novelties. However, because some of the kites are quite expensive, it's not a very child friendly store. It's fun for us adults to browse through but not so much for the kids who are constantly being told not to touch anything. It is a good place to shop FOR the kids though. more

Possible neck strain 9/28/2005

When you enter the store, look up. You'll be looking up for a while. There's so much to see and to play with in this store. Incredible selection of toys, flags, and of course, kites. The most colorful store inall of Old Sacramento. And the prices aren't too bad either! The employees are always so happy and friendly as well. more

Great Store to plan those weekend family outings 7/12/2005

I always loved Old City growing up as they always and still do have a great selection of Kites available to customers. The employees are very friendly and knowledgable so its great store for families to have a great outing. All of the prices are very reasonable for a nice hobby for families to enjoy together. more
