Best Catered Food, EVER! 3/25/2008

We have loved going to Okura for many years. With large groups or just one person the warm friendly staff has always made us feel special. Yes, service can be slow on weekends, but it's worth the wait. Pros: Friendly Service, Fresh Sushi, Great Kitchen Food Cons: Sushi can be slow to arrive on busy weekends more

I have to say it is an average among the Japanese Restaurant in Delaware. Put the freshness of the fish aside, the sushi rice is not much taste. more

friendly people but not the freshest fish 7/29/2006

I'm always searching for the best sushi in DE (as I used to live in NYC and had it soo good) and Jasmine (on 202) is still the place to beat. I liked Okura and the service was great, but the pure quality of the sushi just wasn't there. They laughed when I asked if they had toro (Jasmine almost always has it available, especially on the weekends) and the salmon was almost white in color (not normal). The unagi was fabulous however and I've heard from friends that they specialize in rolls and other kitchen-prepared items so we might go back. But for now, Jasmine is still the best. Best Japanese Cuisine Anywhere 7/5/2006

Okura's is the best all-around Japanese retaurant I've ever been to. Not only is the cuisine top-notch and affordable, their Guest service is so personalized and fantastic as to not be believed. The service is friendly and the proprieters make every effort to get to know their guests. Go once and you will find that you will make every effort to get back at any opportunity! Phenomenal Sushi!!! 1/20/2004

I've had sushi many places and nothing beats Okura...not even the snooty, overpriced establishments in the city. The service and atmosphere are personable and the sushi is fantastic. The portions are substantial and the fish is always delicious and fresh. The kitchen does not disappoint either with a large selection of cooked entrees on the menu. If you are a sushi fan, this is a must try. You won't be disapointed. Pros: reasonably priced, great food, great service more
