Oksana's Elegant Grooming

I took my golden retriever to Oksana Elegant Grooming Pet Salon in San Ramon, California to be groomed on 8/22/15. He was fine when I dropped him off, but when I returned to pick him up five hours later he was clearly in distress. It appeared to me as if my dog had two back broken legs: his gait was almost hopping-like and his tail was dragging on the ground. I took him to the emergency vet immediately from Oksana's. He was lifted into my car by the groomer staff; he had to be carried out of my car by the emergency vet staff and later carried back into my car by the vet staff, and then lifted out of my car when I returned home hours later. I incurred $750 worth of charges from the Emergency vet visit. He started on pain medications as well. Oksana, the owner of the grooming pet salon, told me her staff followed procedure and there was no incident, and she would take no responsibility for the medical bill. Instead she offered him two baths. I would never take him there again! Bottom line: My golden retriever walked into Oksana’s Grooming Pet Salon; he did not walk out as he came in! He has been groomed before and he has never had any problem. There clearly was an issue during this grooming process. I would very strongly discourage anyone from taking their pet to this grooming salon! more

I've brought three cats with long hair to Oksana's. The groomers are wonderful there. The know how to bathe cats, which isn't an easy thing to do. They get the knots and mats out of their hair gently and freeing the poor kitty of the pain and irritation. I recommend Oksana's to everyone who asks. more

Being new to the area, I had to find someplace to take our Sheltie, Leia, for a bath and cut. I chose this place for several reasons... one, the location is very convenient for me, and secondly, it was the only local groomer I could find that anyone had commented about online. It was very easy to get an appointment. I was even able to get one the same day I talked to Oksana! When I took Leia in, Oksana was so gentle and loving with her, and I could tell right away that her business would be a good fit for our dog. I was afraid that it might be pricey, but it was the same price as the Petsmart we took Leia to in Colorado! And Oksana and her staff did a much better job! I was really impressed with the cut they gave her... they did really well with her problem spots (the fur around her rear end is a nightmare to deal with!). All of the staff there seem super nice, to both the dogs and the owners they deal with! I'm very glad to have found this place, and lucky to have done so on our first try! Just a note... Oksana's is located in the shopping center at Bollinger Canyon/Alcosta. It's on the side with the Hollywood Video and Bank of America... it's an oddly designed shopping center, so knowing that may make it easier to find :) more
