Okoboji Grill

What a great place this is to meet a firend for lunch or dinner. I like the ambiance of this eatery and the service has always been good. What I really like are the menu choices. While it sound like it might be a seafood place, and indeed they have a number of sea food choices, they also have a great number of sandwiches, salads and soups and other entrees. My favorites are the chef, salad(enough for two) and the chicken entrees. The prices are very reasonable, the restaurant is clean, and easy to get to. Located at 1857 Lower Muscatine Rd. in Iowa City, it is adjacent to Sycamore Mall and there is always plenty of parking available. There might be a 15-20 minute wait in the evenings as this is a popular eating spot. Give it a try and you will go back. more

Located next to PETLAND near Sycamore Mall, this is one eating establishment that has not only a spacious interior, great food, friendly wait-staff and nice atmosphere as well. When we first visited this eating establishment we sere struck right away at how "kid friendly" the staff was here, actually welcoming our kids and taking time to chat with them while we were there. For all you parents out there realize, if the kids are happy, then everyone is happy and a good dining experience is to be had...such is the situation here! It is the type of place that you can go to for a quiet night out, a family meal together or a special occasion. Okoboji does it all and with decent prices to boot….as far as my family is concerned, anything that doesn’t require a second mortgage on the house to enjoy, it tops in our book!
