The Ohio Exterminating Co., Inc was founded over 75 years ago, in 1936 by Lowell A. Christman. The company has since progressed from one-man and one-customer to 32 full time employees and thousands of Residential and Commercial customers. Our first commercial customer in 1936 was the Jai-Lai Restaurant Formerly the Buckeye Hall of Fame Caf .Founder Lowell A. Christman, a life long Columbus, Ohio resident graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a business major and chemistry minor. After a few years working for an accounting firm he discovered a public outcry for newer and better pest control chemicals. With his chemistry background he developed several superior products and soon gave up his accounting job and entered the Pest Control business. Lowell successfully established one of the first Pest Control Companies in Ohio.Lowell was the President of the Ohio Pest Control Association in 1978 and served as the Regional Vice President of the National Pest Management Association.Ohio Exterminating is now in its 3rd generation of ownership with 2ndgeneration and founders son, Tom Christman as the President and still working for the company full time after 40 years. Tom Christman is a graduate of Ashland University and was the President of the international organization Associated Pest Control Services 2000-2001 and served as the Regional Director of the National Pest Management Association.3rdGeneration Grandson and Co-Owner, Andrew Christman has been with the company full time since graduating from Texas Christian University ( TCU ) in 1997. Andrew currently serves as a Steering Committee Member of the Central Ohio Bed Bug Task Force, Ohio Pest Management Association Board of Directors 2004-2009 and as the President of the Ohio Pest Management Association - December 2009 through December 2010.OUR MISSION: To promote education and ethics of the pest control industry with in our company.
