Visiting this tiny shop where handmade brooms of all sorts are made was great fun. The broom maker is fun to talk to as he makes his unique brooms. Some of the handles on the brooms are beautiful wood and so not only useful but worthy to display. I bought a whisk broom that has a leather end hoop. The broom does a much quicker job of sweeping off my outdoor seating than my china made one. I'll probably go back to buy a long handled broom although some are pricey depending on the handle's wood type and detials (some of them are intricately carved). Even if you don't want to buy a broom, it's worth a visit just to see the craftmanship and to chat with the owner. The shop is a bit hard to find on the crafter's loop in Gatlinburg, but if you ask around you'll find people are happy to direct you.
