Worst

I have been to this theatre a few times and have to say that it is not that good. It can be kind of charming to first-timers, but you will soon realize that the sound is terrible ...

pure disgust 10/6/2005

This place is the worst. I don't think they cleaned the inside of this theater since it opened. They do try to fool you because they redid the outside. Don't fall for it. I wouldn't attempt to eat a thing and don't think about using the restrooms. The thought of this place is enough to make me sick. The movies are cheeper than other places but that is probably because they don't buy cleaning supplies or hire people to do any cleaning. I would rather spend a few more dollars and not have to worry what else is in the theater with me. more

Stay Home 8/18/2005

When I was a kid and it was called the Oceanside Twin, it was always a lot of fun to go to see a movie. They had a balcony and it really had an old-time vibe to it, even if it was the '80s. Now, unfortunately, through several owner changes and a general degredation of the building and surrounding area, it is truly someplace to avoid. The screens have rips in them and the sound is tinny, at best. The last time I was there, the floors were sticky and the theatre had a foul odor throughout. Definitely not where you would go for a memorable cinematic experience. more

Oceanside Theatre 8/18/2005

I have been to this theatre a few times and have to say that it is not that good. It can be kind of charming to first-timers, but you will soon realize that the sound is terrible and the picture is blurry. It received a bit of a renovation but at this point the place should really be knocked down. They show some more obscure movies there, so sometimes I am forced to go there when they show a movie that nobody else has. However, I do try to avoid this theatre at all costs. more

Cute place to see a movie 8/3/2005

Oceanside Theatre is located right on the Long Beach "strip" with plenty of places to hang out and lots of nightlife. It is a very cute little theater showing the latest popular movies (sometimes an independent film or two). It is also close to the boardwalk, which would make for a great Saturday night out. The theatre is very clean (bathrooms included), and for a movie theatre, the floors weren't even that sticky! Sound is surround sound, but not overly booming. Movie food is...movie food! Nothing much else can be said about that. Prices are average for the movies. more

oceanside theatre 7/18/2005

This is a small independent movie theatre that houses four small size screens. They have redone the outside and given it a face lift -but the inside is still all old and disgusting. it is close but needs to be updated .The bathrooms are filthy and iwouldnt use them more
