Best Seafood we've ever had. Yes the tables and chairs are plastic and the service is some times cold. But we overlook the short comings when the food is this great. Also, the best key lime pie. more

This was our 2nd time dining at Ocean's Seafood and it was even more wonderful! Started out by purchasing a container of Shrimp Salad from the deli to nosh on while awaiting an Ipswitch Clam Roll with fries and slaw to share. Oh my Gosh! Was it all divine or what??? And the portions? Too much!! We were in Heaven. The clams fresh, tender and sweet...the shrimp salad fresh and creamy, as in whipping cream based creamy...not simply mayo creamy...delish!! We topped it off by splitting a piece of home made Key Lime Pie and once again, To Die For!! You will not be disappointed! The prices are very fair, the food very fresh, the service fast and friendly...this place will become our Go To when in the NSB area! I was born and raised in New Smyrna so I never eat seafood if I am more than 30 minutes from the beach. The seafood is so fresh here. I always try to order something different, but normally end up with the blackened grouper or mahi. Since I moved away to Orlando I only get back to NSB about once a month. I make Ocean's the top of my list of things to do. It is just far enough from the beach that sand isn't blowing into your food. It is very close to one of my favorite bars in NSB (Beachside Tavern). My last comment is on the service: the people there are so nice! If you are dining in the ladies are patient and bring your food to your table. If you are buying raw seafood, the people behind the counter are helpful and courteous. My only con is there is not enough space or table during the lunch rush. more

Can't understand the poor ratings. Some are years old. Our 2009 experience has been terrific. Pros: Freshest and lightly breaded-great variety of raw fish. Cons: No beer or wine more

We just placed a phone order for takeout and received the most deplorable service ever from Kim! Sure hope the food is still good, because something needs to make up for the rude, angry, discourteous treament we just received. Wow, some people should be kept under wraps! the older front counter woman with glasses and (maybe late 40's or early 50's) was rolling her eyes excessively at us ans making derogatory comments about us very loudly. Clearly she dosen't like children but from the other reviews i've read it may just be that she is rude in general. Big mistake for the owner to have a grump like her in the front interacting with guest. Hide her in the back if you don't want to fire her! Pros: great food Cons: terrible customer service more

You know the old saying ""you can't go home again"", well that sure is true at Oceans seafood. As a longtime customer returning after some years out of town, I found the place to be dirty, the mahi in the case was old and brown and the staff was rude.I found out why later. The old fisherman who owned the place for years,Bob,died. He chose only the freshest fish and would never cut corners to save a buck.Trust me I ate there every other day for 10 years, my last visit will be my last. I have been patronizing Ocean's for close to 15 years or longer - (I have lost track, it's been so long.) The seafood has always been good as well as the service. So friendly in fact, that the girls got to know me by voice when I'd call ahead and they would joke with me! I wouldn't consider shopping anywhere else for most of my seafood needs! more

While the food is great and the price is awesome, the service is HORRIBLE! The owner needs to know how unfriendly the counterperson is! After giving this place the benifit of the doubt for 20 or more times we have finally decided to not come back. As locals, we thought at first we were being mistaken for tourists. We noticed the counter person is nice to some folks but very curt and almost rude to others. Even with good prices we realized we would rather eat at a place with better vibes... Pros: good food, great prices, quick Cons: Mean staff! more
