MRMC Hand Center Services
• Wound management services include: debridement,suture removal,dressing changes,pin care and patient education for home programs
• Pain management provides modalities,exercise,stretching and pain reduction techniques
• Therapeutic exercise and manual therapy is performed to regain motion,strength and dexterity
• Splinting includes: customized static,serial static and dynamic splints,which are made to protect injured structures,to mobilize stiff joints and to enhance upper extremity function
• Activities of daily living and adaptive equipment needs are assessed and training is provided to encourage independence in self-care activities
• Prosthetic services include: wound care,stump preparation,and prosthetic training
