One Call Away - Resource And Crisis Helpline - Available 24 Hours A Day

Owner Message
  • **Who We Help**
Anyone in our community can call the Resource and Crisis Helpline for the array of services available. Additional supports and services are available through the public mental health systems for: adults with serious mental illness, children with serious emotional disturbances, adults and children with developmental disabilities and people who are in crisis because of mental illness, who meet the eligibility requirements.

    **How We Help**
These additional services may include crisis care and intervention, support during and after hospitalization, support coordination, case management, medication and assistance with daily living through our provider network.

    **Our Mission**
The Authority supports the Advancement of Social Equity and Improved Quality of Life for adults with serious mental illness, children with serious emotional disturbances and people with development disabilities.

    **Person Centered Planning**
All services and supports are provided through the Person or Family Centered Planning process. The Person Centered Planning process is used to design an individual's plan of mental health supports, services or treatments. The individual may choose his / her own Person Centered Planning meeting facilitator and invite anyone he / she wishes as support in the process; this may include family, friends and people in his / her community who can help with the plan. Person Centered Planning is your right protected by the Michigan Mental Health Code.

**The Mental Health Community & You**
People with mental and developmental disabilities make valuable contributions to the community in which they live. Many are full or part-time employed, do volunteer work, and play an active role in community organizations. Meaningful work and community involvement diminishes the loneliness and isolation people sometimes experience from being seen by others as di fferent.
