Ober Gatlinburg is a great place for some wintertime adventures. Indoors, there is an ice skating rink for the kids, lots of shops and games. Outside of course are the ski slopes, you'll see skiers and snowboarders up there. The ride up on the tram does cost, I think if you're local you get a discount on it. It's pricey, so take lots of money with you !! more

Lots of Fun! 8/29/2005

Ober Gatlinburg is a lot of fun! You can get to it either by the Gatlinburg Skylift or by driving. Once you're up there, you can either snow ski, ice skate, or play games and eat. We went ice skating there on our last visit and had a blast. The skiing is pretty casual, so beginners won't feel intimidated. Have fun! more

Place to be ! 8/16/2005

Situated rite in the heart of Gatlinburg city this amusement park is a place to be when you visit Smokies. It boasts of a Ski resort which is ideal for a place NC residents who hardly get a snowfall during winters. It has a large ice skating area ideal for learners like me. The tramway which takes to the park at an elevation showcases some awesome scenery along the way up of Great Smokies mountain. Alpine slide was the most exciting ride out there. more
