Oasis Night Club

Not only was I kicked out of this club for being SOBER! but the music isn't that great and the place is tiny. Seriously though, the security here sucks. If you're under 21 and ust having a good time they will kick you out for "drinnking." So go ahead and pay 10 dollars for an hour of lame music just to be kicked out for having too much of a good time. more

The drinks are terrible (they refill Patron bottles with water), Drag Idol is rigged (past winners have been told to prepare their numbers for Finals before they even qualified or won to get there) or has unqualified "judges" and just has it as a way to get a full show without having to pay everyone, the DJ doesn't even mix, just starts a new track right at the end on the previous one, and there are a bunch of ghetto kids shablaming and starting drama. more

i love oasis ive been going there for 2 years and i have always loved it! im surprised what people have been saying about the staff being rude because they have always been so helpful towards me i cant complain whatsoever! the staff is extremely friendly and helpful and i LOVE the DJ!!!! and they do allow black people in im black and filipino but u can tell im somewhat black and they have NEVER denied me entrance to the club. all in all i enjoy going there! Im surprised everyone had the staff acting rude toward them; aside from the front manager women everyone was very nice to me. An after a few visits the women had even become much more pleasant. Pros: People are friendly Cons: limited space more

im shoked to hear all the nice things being said on the reviews. I live near the club and well i only go if invited by friends or.. uhh thats the only reason. The staff there is very rude, theres been a few times when i've seen fights break out and because the people that started the fight knew the staff got away with it and the other party was asked ( thrown out) to leave as they are trying to explain how they didnt do anything. The staff is rude including the DJ. yes there are nice people that attend the club and make worth the while. but again i go only if asked to by friends that dont know any better. Was having a good time there until some a++hole through a drink in my friend's face, and the goons there tried to throw us out. We were treated like s++t outside of the "club" by one of the goons and the "manager" who kept on harassing us by threating police action while the goon's frineds were "lucky" enough to stay inside. One of the goons was a bit too agressive and when threatened with police action of my own ,I asked how many warrants he had himself, the fat goon shut up. Will never go there while this group of amateurs is running the place, and how dare they treat a loyal customer like that. Only go to this sh+++ole if you feel like being emasculated by a group of third-rate closet-case mall security guards. more

As i write this I can't help but to wonder why. Oasis was a place were people of all color could go and have a great time. the crowd was always good. I said was because my friends and i were told that we could not enter tis club because we were black, and that black were no longer allowed in per the mgr. let me just say that we wer all dressed to the nine and that we have been going to this club for years and never has there been an issue. After being told that blacks could not enter the club I pulled out the cell and googled oasis and was shocked at the reviews....this is very true blacks are no longer allowed at Oasis per Wes(owner) I am not sure when this started but I can tell you that it is true as we stood there and watched blacks walk up only to be turned away while others were allowed in, I was floored. I was angry as well as hurt. Angry because no one should be judged only on color, hurt because as a whole we should not seperate based on color, we have come so far yet with this sort of thinking we are only doing harm to ourselves. This is a great club if you like to just go out on the floor and dance!! My husband and I (obviously we aren't gay) go there every few weeks and just dance for a couple hours and have fun. People are friendly and if you're straight, you don't have to worry about gay people coming on to you at all--it's never been a problem for either my husband or me. Other users were commenting on the music--I like most things the DJ plays, and I've never been to a club where I like every single song played. Also, one user said they allow smoking in the club--maybe back in 2002 they did but definitely not now! Overall a great place to go for a relaxed non-LA vibe. The people here are rude, inconsiderate, and full of dipsh*ts. I could of had more fun at my home with a bowl of holy gucamola and a cruxifix of the mother teresa. I have found the other reviews to be quite accurate as to the music and amount of people who attend. However, the staff pretty much cater's to white and hispanic. I have gone to the Oasis on several occassions to take advantage of drink specials and just to get out and mingle. I have experienced the bar tenders taking my drink order and holding onto it until just after the specials ended in order to have me pay full price. This led to an argument once because I had waited 15 minutes for a drink special and by the time I got it the special was over, needless to say, they refused to budge on the price, and the drink as usual was very weak compared to any other club i've attended for the money. I have been met with unwelcoming looks from the staff each time i've gone which made me feel uncomfortable from the start. During one visit, a circle was formed to exclude me from a group of white stud and fem girls as they smirked at me in a sneaky kind of way. The music will get on your nerves once the DJ gets into what I call his Madonna frenzy. At that point all you will hear is a bunch of loud noise and people with no rhythum dancing to it. Needless to say unless you have no where else to go and you are going with a group and the drinks do not matter much, my friends and I all agree we would not recommend Oasis. Oasis is not your typical Weho club- the people arent stuck up and the staff is pretty nice. The birthdays specials they have are awesome- your entire party gets free cover, a .50 cent drink ticket good for ANY drink, and a bday cake. On my birthday the staff brought my entire party of 20 each shots for free- on my friend's bday they brought her a bottle of champagne- it was really cool that they take care of you and want you to have a great time! This place is awesome. If you're looking to have a great time and dont want to bother with having to pay for parking, or driving in traffic to WEHO- go to Oasis, you'll have an awesome time. As a straight woman with lots of gay male friends, I've been to plenty of gay bars and clubs. Oasis is a pretty happening place, if you're looking for a loud, crowded, gay club. The music is pretty good, but sometimes can get a little annoying, with the token Madonna, Cher, Britney, Cristina, etc, and the occaisonal set of Mexican music. Drinks prices are okay, but sometimes they have specials on shots. Food is alright- try the chicken nachos, they're amazing. Get there early so you have a place to sit. People are nice there, it seems every time I go I end up chatting with strangers and making new friends. Staff can be really nice or really rude, it just depends on who you talk to. They have great deals for birthday parties, free cover for your whole party, free food, cheap drinks. Like I said, it's perfect if that's what you're looking for. This club blows. First off, they allow smoking, which is illegal and annoying, so the tiny room is filled with cigarette smoke. Second they play not the newest, coolest music, but last week's goodies. You may even hear Celine Dion or Cher still in circulation. And the music is obnoxiously loud. I would make the drive to LA or eve Pomona and skip this dump. more
