Proprietor Khaled Umbashi is chef, server and friendly host of Oasis Express, and he cooks up some tasty North African cuisine with a Mediterranean flair.
The Food
The vegetarian and vegan menu changes weekly but there are a few dishes (using halaal kosher meats) that may please meat-lovers, such as the lamb stew or the beef (gyros) salad. Oasis Express also makes a mean moussaka, a lasagna-like dish with ground beef, peppers, eggplant and onions. Try the hummus, fresh tabbouleh and the "turnovers," filled with lemon-kissed spinach. And don't miss the little potato puffs. They're crispy on the outside, and melt-in-your-mouth soft on the inside.
