Good School when in session 1/13/2011

Good school, but more days off than any school you'll ever attend. Teaching is cut up by the drastic number of days off for teacher's inservice meetings, half days, parent/teacher conference days (just added an extra day this year) and every friday the school ends an hour earlier than other days. Only one uninterrupted month all year long. Holidays always have tacked on extra days as well. Extra day also added for Thanksgiving this year. more

Oakwood School 2/17/2005

Oakwood School is divided between 2 campuses: K-6 on Moorpark in N. Hollywood and 7-12 on Magnolia in N. Hollywood. It is an independent private school with a curriculum that is creative, imaginative, and centered around the arts. Oakwood is known for academic excellence as well as its theater and music programs. The classes are small and the teachers are outstanding. more

An amazing private elementary school located in the San Fernando Valley, borderline Studio City. Grades K thru 6. Small classes, top-notch teachers, imaginative and stimulating curriculum found nowhere else. Tuition is high but what you get back is priceless. Family atmosphere. The knowledge your child gets here is unbelievable. Lost of celebrity parents and students. more
