A place I will never come back 1/26/2010

I was Dr. Netter’s patient for 7 years. I've had some unpleasant experiences with the staff before, especially the receptionist, but I managed to put up with her long face every time I walked in. Until recently, that is. It got so bad I've decided to never go back again. Here's what happened: I needed to change one of my prescriptions from brand name to generic, so I called and was told by the receptionist to leave a message. When a couple of days passed and they didn't call me back, I called again and was, of course, told to leave a message again. This kept happening for over two weeks. I kept calling and leaving messages and no one ever returned my call. Then my prescription ran out, so I told the receptionist over the phone that I've been calling them for two weeks and I had to talk to someone who could help me. She basically refused to let me speak to anyone else and hung up. Finally on Jan. 19, 2010, I went to the office in person, and was told there was no prescription for me and they did not get any of my messages! One of the nurses mentioned offhandedly, ""Oh yeah, your pharmacist called, but we don't deal with them."" When my prescription was about to run out my pharmacist did call me to see if I get a new prescription. As I was having no luck myself I had asked the pharmacy to call them too. That didn't work either obviously. I asked the receptionist again how I could get my prescription changed. She closed the window in my face and said, ""You have to call and leave a message."" It didn't matter how I begged her and explained that I've been doing exactly that for over two weeks, she just kept repeating her line. There were several staff there with her, and no one showed the slightest sympathy or intention to help me. I was frustrated and raised my voice slightly, saying again that I really needed help to get my prescription. Suddenly the receptionist raised the window and shouted at me, ""Why do you come here to harass us?"" I was totally shocked. Who was harassing whom? As a patient and their customer I did what I was told and got no response. They denied they had ever heard from me, despite the receptionist having spoken to me several times over the phone. Then when I showed up in person they tried to ignore me and accused me of being at fault. Their total lack of professionalism and even common courtesy is appalling and I urge anyone who's thinking of going there to reconsider.\r \r A frustrated patient more

EXCEPTIONAL CARE 1/7/2010

I have to agree with Dean Brubaker below. I have been a patient of Dr. Nancy Netters for going on 15 years and she is the best physician that I have ever had. The staff has always been very prompt, courteous and personable. I have never experienced any of the so called problems these other people are referring to. I have also seen the other Doctors in this practice and never experienced anything negative with them either. Having numerous medical problems, I have had to have many in-house and outside tests performed and the staff at Oaktree was always prompt and professional when it came to getting my appointments scheduled or getting the results of these tests back to me. I am so sorry to hear all of the negativity that is being thrown out there by these people and am also wondering if they have the correct Oaktree Medical Center. Pros: Very caring and personal more

Great care and great service 9/23/2009

After reading the previous reviews with shock and disbelief, I had to post my family's experience with Oaktree Medical. The staff has always been very accommodating and I cannot say how much we appreciate every thing Dr. Nancy Netter and Sital Patel have done for me and for my wife. I had a minor medical issue 4 or 5 months ago, and Dr. Netter followed up with me personally, via phone, to see how I was doing. I wonder if the previous folks who posted negative comments were actually at the correct Oaktree Medical Center on Pelham Road. Everyone there has been wonderful and I welcome any counter arguments be sent to me directly to my personal email address at DeanBrubaker@aol Pros: Caring medical attention, personal service more

Sick? go elswhere 9/1/2009

Only got a star because you had to do it, really no stars from me.\r \r Have to agree with the rest of the reviewers. The Staff is the worst and has been for over 10 yrs. I think they train new employees to be rude & be more concerned about the free food that is coming in via pharmacy reps then the patients. Seems like they are in business for the food parties & not the people. \r \r Doc might be OK if you aren't sick & only want Botox. Even the docs don't seem to want to be there.\r Go elswhere or get out fast.\r \r I know more people that have left this practice then that are in it. Pros: no pros Cons: to many to list more

Horrible 5/14/2009

This place gets no stars from me. I stuck with them for 3 years simply because I didn't have time to find/switch to a new doctor and my health was such that I didn't have to visit too often. The office staff is lazy and rude--every time I needed something that involved going through them, they screwed it up. I was called by a bill collector because they failed to file an address change I had submitted and as a result, sent the bill to the wrong place. I also had to get several releases signed so I could proceed with my nursing degree and it was a nightmare getting them filled out properly and sent to the right places (if they were supposed to be faxed, the staff mailed them and if I said I'd pick them up, they faxed them). They spend their time talking with each other and treat patients like they're an imposition. The Dr. rarely spent any time actually discussing anything with me--she completely forgot I was there once and after I had waited 45 minutes in the exam room, she came rushing in and said ""oh my God, I forgot you were here and went to a lunch party!"" and then laughed and forgot to go over my lab results (which were shoved in my hand by a nurse on my way out). This practice exists so the physicians can make a lot of $$ off their patients while doing the minimum amount of actual work--and complaining will do no good because every member (except possibly their PA, Sital Patel) is part of the problem. Don't waste your time here. Pros: no pros more

don;t go there 4/8/2009

I was new to the area, chose oaktree medical ct for my health care provider. worse mistake of my life. my doctor was so rude, no compassion, i felt like i was wasting her time. i did complain, alot of good that did.i ask to switch doctors the person i spoke to in human resourse said that would be ok. so i schedule an appointment to see another doctor only to get a phone call right before my appointment to inform me that the doctor would not see me. so i made a call back to H-R left a message and never got a call back. Pros: there are no pros Cons: i was treated very badly there more

horrible experience 6/5/2008

I've been a patient on file there for years, but when I recently had to seek care for a medical problem, I realized what a mistake that was! The staff - from the front secretaries (who don't even greet you - they are too busy talking and eating) to the nurses in the back - was rude and not patient friendly. The Dr. spent 5 minutes with me, sent me out with perscriptions for 2 pain meds and told me they would schedule an MRI. Several days passed and when I called about my pain (saying I don't want medicine - I want to know what the problem is) they said the person who schedules the MRI was out and no one else wanted to do it. I ended up scheduling my own MRI - then when the results got in I had to go sit in the waiting room and demand to get them. (and they were not good results). Lesson learned - do not go to this office ... they run you in and out and spend more time talking and eating than caring for their patients. Oh - I also left a message for the office manager to call me about this experience - he never called - BIG SURPRISE! Pros: conveinent location Cons: rude office staff, uncaring nurses, don't listen to patient concerns more

Don't even go there. 5/11/2008

This facility is all about the money. They care little about your health, and charge you to transfer medical records. Basically a meat processing plant. more
