I have taken music classes here on occasion, and my son has as well. Essentially, a student can complete the first 2 years of a 4 year education here and than transfer to the college of choice. They have partnered with a number of the colleges and universities in Illinois on establishing a standard, transferable curriculum for the first 2 years. There are also a number of resources available including academic advising and counseling. If you live in district, Oakton is a great educational alternative. more

College 3/10/2006

I have taken many classes at this great community college. I always get what I need here. I get a good education here and the techers are really nice. Also the classes are so low priced for me because I live in the area. I have learned so much from this excellent school. There are many other nice students here as well. They offer classes to get you started on almost any field that you want to go into. more

I took a few summer classes here. This is a good place to get some credits. They offer a wide range of classes. And the class timings are very convenient too; they have weekend, night, online, and television courses. The quality of the education is very good for a community college. And best of all it is very inexpensive. But remember, you have to reside in the district to get the discount! more
