I attended the Oakridge School for 12 years and, after 7 more years working in education, do not recommend it.
I also attended Arlington High school and academically, the regular classes at Oakridge are more demanding but the honors ones are not. I was consistently doing more challenging work in public school than my peers at Oakridge.
Socially it is even worse. While the norm is for popular children to be prosocial, at Oakridge every popular child is antisocial, by the third grade. They can be abusive to the point that it severely detracts from learning, for themselves and their victims, and the faculty rarely do anything to stop it and sometimes encourage it. Status is determined by income and relational aggression. If your child does not fit into that bracket they won't be allowed to succeed socially or academically.
