All licensed movers must be insured. You can check with the PUC (Public Utilities Commission) San Francisco office for current license verification. The required insurance for cargo is based on the weight of the cargo valued at 60 cents a pound reimbursement. • Have the appropriate materials for the items to be packed. • Here is the suggested box list. • Think 360 degrees when wrapping and placing items in the box based on the way the item is used; for example, vases and stemware should be straight up and down. This placement puts less stress on the structure of the item. • BIG EXCEPTION: flat plates should go on their rim after wrapping individually. • All filled bottles, jars and sprays should be tightly closed. • Mark fragile items clearly using arrows to indicate top of box. • All boxes should be filled completely. • All boxes should be taped closed on top and bottom. • Plants in ceramic pots (small) should be boxed. • Keep boxes out of doorways and away from furniture. more

Try to save a parking space for the truck (45 feet). • Packing should be completed before the day of the move. • Identify where the items are to go in the new location: number code rooms in new house with a broad magic marker. The number code should be on the two sides of the box and the top. Label the room with the corresponding number. NON permanent stick labels for furniture should be used for identification. Keep a marker available for identification of wardrobe boxes. • Inform us of any items that will need to be packed on moving day; mirrors, lamps, etc. • Inform us of any item that will need to disassembled or removed from walls. • Appliances will need to be disconnected. No job is too small or too large. We try to accommodate last minute moves. We will either provide the actual services needed or assist you with an appropriate resource for your relocation need. To better serve our customers, we generally stay within a 100 mile radius, but we can facilitate moves out of the area. We have available resources and contacts we have worked with previously. Since we are a full service company, we can also assist with moving materials such as boxes, wrap etc. Packing: a special staff of packers is available for a complete organization, preparation and actual packing for the move.
