Oakglen Retreat

I have camped at Halo resorts for over 20 years now and I've seen all the changes that have been made. My grandparents have been members of Oak Glen and Fisherman's for over 30 yrs and now I am now the proud owner of their membership. Although the wild hay rides and movie nights will be missed, I look forward to the many other activities they continue to provide. Things change and I plan to be there for all of it. If you want you don't like these resorts you don't like CAMPING.......stay in a hotel. Anyways, I hope you try fisherman's and oak glen.......worth it!!! don't go in being an ass and expecting more than any campground can provide; it's simply camping. take care and safe camping. more

The beautiful brochure they give out is a LIE the pictures are all photo-shopped all the amenities they offer the members are pretty much non-existant and everytime they get a crew of good staff they let them all go. I was really dissapointed my last visit when I went up to the tavern like I always do to get my favorite drink with a smile from the barteneder who's been there for almost 2 yrs and they let her go now too. I have been a member of halo Resorts for over 3 years now, but 2008 was the best of all. Fisherman's retreat has completely revamped its facility, and is constantly developing and renovating to make the property even better. This year, Oak Glen is contantly renovating some of the ware & tare. The park already provided a fun, comfortable enviornment. But the changes in management, and the constant efforts to make the park a golden place have pleased me and my husband very much. I can't wait to see what will come next. Oh, and make sure to ask for their activities sheets! There is always something to do. We just upgraded to the National program to use facilities throughout the nation, and will soon be visiting Washington DC! I have stayed there several times and find it quite charming. It is nestled above Yucaipa, California with an elevation of 4,800 feet. On my last visit, there were patches of snow upon the moutains, and scattered snow on the ground, with a delightful warm temperature as the sun shone onto our campsite. The views of the valley below on a clear night, sparkle with all the twinkling lights below! more

don't waste your time or money. Every site is leaning except the handicap spots and there are only 2 of those. If you are old and can't walk well the pool and other things are hard to get to. Weeds every where. Even old broken down equipment on the property. Its not worth the trip or the gas.
