Good Theatre 4/9/2006

The Oakdale Theatre is a nice establishment outside of Wallingford- about 30 minutes or so away Hartford and New Haven. They get pretty good shows for reasonable prices. Recent touring artists to make this one of their stops have included the Beach Boys and Elvis Costello. My only complaint about this theatre is the price of the snacks and drinks once you are inside the complex- they are quite outrageous. more

Wonderful Venue 8/23/2005

Oakdale is a wonderful venue to go to. All the seats are great and the sound system is good too. It is nice and clean and they have a huge array of people who performs there. They really do have something for everyone. The staff is friendly also and teh parking is not that bad. more

Oakdale Theatre 8/19/2005

The Oakdale Theatre is a great place to watch shows or concerts. They have a variety of shows at the oakdale. They have childrens shows during the summer for a great price, and they also have Music Concerts. This is where the wiggles or Barney goes if they come to town (the tickets for these shows are not cheap). I would recommend this place more

The theatre formerly known as Oakdale. 8/16/2005

This is a great place to have concerts and performances especially since we no longer have the New Haven Coliseum. There is spacious seating, the sound is great and they pull in live acts from everything like country to pop. I highly reccomend finding a performer you like and going down there and enjoying a live concert. more

A Nice Theater 7/15/2005

The former Oakdale Theater, now known as the Chevrolet Theater, is a great venue with a large seating area and an impressive view of the stage. The only downside to it is how it doesn't appeal to my tastes in music, I listen to metal and hard rock, and nothing like that ever goes into the theater. Sure, I had Godsmack earlier this year, but that was an acoustic performance, and I was just expecting more. Either way, the theater is huge and a very comfortable environment, and is perfect if you like the show that is playing. more
