Oak Park, originally the Methodist owned Wesley Terrace, was acquired by EAMC in 2003. The campus is home to The Terrace retirement living apartments and our 87-bed nursing home.
The wooded campus overlooks its own lake. A new covered pier with fan and benches adds to the swings that grace lakeside. The four foot deep swimming pool is just right for exercising in water, swimming laps or a fun time with the grandchildren. An enclosed causeway connects retirement living with the main building. Once in the main building, our residents have access to the friendship lounge, dining room, library, gift shop, beauty shop and the parlor. At the far end of the building, the residents in the eighty-seven bed nursing home have the care they need including the other amenities available on the campus.
Our 87-bed nursing home is located on the far right end of the main building. Warm yellow/beige walls welcome our skilled care residents and their families to the nursing home. Three dayrooms with views of the lake, the courtyard or and woods provide areas for the residents to gather for activities and meals. The staff strives to help the residents enjoy the best quality of life possible given their individual medical, mental, physical and social needs.
