Super cool spot in south Austin... 8/3/2010

Great Golf Facility in SW Austin 8/3/2010

A fun place to practice your game. This lighted facility stays open till 10, so you can beat the heat. Plus there is a putting and chipping area to work on short game. Staff is friendly and helpful. They offer lessons and club repair at a good price. Brought my kids and they had a great time. Pros: Lighted, open late, putting & chipping areas, friendly staff Cons: Drivers off mats only more

I like the Oak Hill Golf Driving Range. It is just fine as ranges go. I mean what do you want? golfballs, lights, tees, relatively cheap entertainment. A few targets. more

Great Golf Pros 9/1/2007

I frequent Oak Hill golf range quite frequently. The pros there are great, especially Sam. My biggest disappointment there is having to put up with some of the hacks that go there. I got pelted by one of the hack's errant golf shots once. They should make all the hacks (we'll call them "Oak Hillbillies") practice on the mats only. It's really a bummer when you're trying to work on your game and some hack smacks you with a shanked golf shot. Other than the Oak Hillbillies, it's a great place to practice. Jerks! You should never anger a man who is holding a golf club. 9/22/2006

My wife and I are new to golf. We went out on a thursday morning and started hitting from the grass section of the range, because we don't like the mats (we have tried them before). The clerk came over and told us that we should not use the grass section because we were just learning. When we told him that we still would prefer to play from the grass, he made it his mission to harrass us until we moved over to the mats. after about five minutes of his telling us why we were not welcome on the grass section we decided to finish on the mats but our day was ruined.
