Oak Brook Community Church is a church associated with the Assemblies of God denomination. My wife and I are finding growth in our spiritual lives and having a great time having fellowship with fellow believers at this church.\r

We attend the 8:30am service on Sundays, led by Senior Pastor Chip Block. He is such a loving man of God, you can really see his passion for the word of God in his sermons and you can see how much compassion he has for other people when you speak with him. Pastor Block has such a very kind demeanor and he is very personable and easy to approach. He really exemplifies a kind and loving person and that is one of my favorite things about him.\r

We also attend the Tuesday morning Worship and Healing Service that is held at 10am each week. This service is lead by Senior Associate Pastor Rick Glyman. This service is a wonderful experience where we worship together as a congregation and then a short message is taught by Pastor Rick. Pastor Rick is such a strong man of God and has such a strong faith in the power of God. This church is a pentecostal church and the power of the Holy Spirit is very much present in these meetings. I really enjoy Pastor Rick's teachings as he offers much scripture to back up his points and really digs deep into subjects in a way that brings much understanding to the word of God. After the teaching we all spend time praying for each others needs with the laying on of hands, believing in the power of the Holy Spirit to work in our lives for physical, mental, and spiritual healing. My wife and I really enjoy these services and they have brought us on a closer walk with God.\r

My wife and I have found a new home here at Oak Brook Community Church. We just moved to Illinois from another state last year and it was important to find a church that believed in Biblical truths and the power of prayer. I recommend this church to everyone because the staff is so loving and the congregation is very welcoming to everyone.
Pros: Loving Pastor, fantastic teaching and prayer! They believed in the power of prayer!
