Editorial
  • The Skinny
The neighborhood pub that has morphed into a family restaurant. It still has a solid reputation as a pub with the accompanying darts games and sing-alongs led by the piano.

    Tastes Like Chicken
Sandwiches of every variety including kosher, open-faced, hoagies and burgers plus chicken sandwiches galore. Entrees cover the spectrum as well, from seafood to Italian with all the steaks and chicken in between. A full dessert menu puts the cherry on top.

    Quick Note
The sing-alongs have become legendary with the sentimental set and pack 'em in. They've re-established these carousing.

    History Lesson
Every St. Patrick's Day, O'Toole's holds a fake wake. In the 1700s, the English were oppressing the Irish Catholics. The Pope didn't want to lift the ban on drinking during Lent, but wanted to lighten the emotional burden on the Irish. Drinking was permissable at wakes. Thus, the fake wake allows a wink and a drink during Lent. The bagpipes play all day on St. Paddy's Day, so no wonder they want to drink.
