Closed the place down in 2009. Too bad ... when Tommy and Kathleen owned it, it was the best!!\r \r Been going to this bar since I was 21 and I'm 61 this year. Hung out there on my wedding day. It hasn't changed a bit and I hope it never does. On the west side of the Southfield service drive, great parking and they'll keep an eye on what's happening outside. Get there about 8AM on St. Paddy's Day. more

I MEAN AUTHENTIC IRISH FOOD DOES NOT INCLUDE COLD HOT DOGS!!! THE NEW OWNERS NEED TO GET A REALITY CHECK,I DON'T THINK THEY HAVE EVER RUNA BAR, OR A BUSINESS EVEN!. INFACT THEY ARE CLEARLY THERE ARE VISIBLY EMPTY SPACES WHERE THE ORIG OWNERS HAD SHIELDS AND OTHER DECOR HUNG, THEY ARE NOW GONE W/O REPLACEMENT. VERY DISAPPOINTED, REALLY BAD SERVICE, CAN'T EVEN GET TO THE BAR TO GET A DRINK. I KNOW A LOT OF OTHER PUBS THAT HAVE SERVERS WALK AROUND TO GET TO THOSE WHO ARE NOT AT THE BAR! Don't be fooled by all of the ""Irish"" Pubs in the area. The Tip is as close as you'll get to a TRUE Irish Pub in the Detroit area. The interior, the people, the Guinness, and the food (or lack thereof) are all dead on. more
