If you know good prime rib, you will find this to be sub-standard and lacking in flavor. Though it is served attractively and appears to be prime rib, it is nearly tasteless. In fact, it is so lacking in flavor that you will probably be turned off of the meal like I was, because the cut basically amounts to a thick slab of semi-tender meat fiber that only looks like prime rib, with the flavor totally missing and a texture that feels strange and spongy. Even the au jus tastes like it comes from a can, and anyone who knows prime rib should know that good au jus can only come from good prime rib that is cooked properly. Because of the odd texture of the meat, I even questioned in my mind if this was actually beef. It literally turned my stomach. The low price of 14.99 for the meal should have been the first clue that this may not be a good experience. There were two guests at my table, and each of us agreed with this opinion and left a good portion of this less-than-satisfying meal on our plates. Good salad, good baked potato, and good rolls, but what restaurant can't do that?
