Editorial review from Citysearch 3/27/2013

I had my first encounter with the OB GYN pavilion of Brooklyn this past week and I wanted to share my great experience. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. They helped me with the registration process making it fast and easy for me. The Gyn Doc whom I was seen by was very thorough. He sat and walked me through the entire process. He spent a significant amount of time with me discussing my previous history. This is unusual as Im used to getting rushed out of the doctor's office. He made me feel very comfortable and gave me different options to best suit me. I have finally found a place where I feel confident that I will get quality care. Doctor was very very knowledgeable and had great bedside manner. I would highly recommend the OB GYn Pavilion of Brooklyn. more

Pretty nice staff(durring the week), Need to shoo away the holy crusaders outside - ruins the comfort 2/25/2009

I went here on two occasions, once for myself and then once with my sister in law. First I will start with my experience. When I first arrive there It wasn't on an inviting block (there was a church and some old private homes on the same street) then once in front the clinic I was horrified by the old pro-life couple that camps outside right in front its doorway with the most graphic pictures of dead babies. I went inside and was shock to see a security guard right there watching them and not even budging to shoo them away or stop them from trying to shove rosary beads and religious paperwork in my face. I did get inside and the lady taking my insurance cards was hasty, but as I got past her snooty behind the rest of the staff was pretty warm. When it came to the zero hour I was nervous because inside the op room looked big and scary with machinery I never seen before. The anesthesiologist was very comforting, warm, and even funny. He informed me on how the medication worked and what I would be feeling (which is a warm feeling cause for some reason they use Cheyenne pepper in their concoction) He didn't just dope me up. When I came to the staff was very comforting and quick to offer me medication, tea, and crackers. And refuse to let me go until I was able to walk a straight. Let me also add I went mid week like a Wednesday. Now me & my sis in law had to go & it was a Sat. Sadly more like an assembly line. I took her there despite the pro-life couple, mainly because the great staff, very informative doctors. And its a very very very clean facility. I would suggest anyone wanting to go here skip the weekend crowd because there is so many women there for wkend app that they are more rushed & insensitive and take less time w/ you at the front desk verses when you go during the week its less crowded & there's time for questions at the front desk & they don't rush you on through to the nicer staff. If you can ignore the couple, then its a pretty good experience. Pros: Very clean, warm staff, accepts insurance, personal & sensitive after care. Cons: Depending on the day there is an alternate of friendly staff & rude staff at front desk, pro-lifers out front mobbing you, they call out your full name in the final waiting area. more
