O! Wasabi Sushi

We get there and the woman server sat my family and I near the front door. Three server (two women and a male) and a Manager who was calculating receipts by the bar. After a few minutes, not one sever came back to ask for our drinks or food ordering. We were next to a family that continued to be served. Two of the three sever continued to serve the family next to us (different booth divided by a middle wooden shelf - about 3.5 feet high). We made eye contact to their servers several times but no response. My wife and I counted 14 people inside the restaurant with three servers and a Manager and 3 Sushi Chief . After 8-10 minutes My family and I decided to go another Sushi restaurant on Main and Lincoln - Better service and food. The Manger had a deer and headlight look when approached about the issue. Go figure the headlight was a train. If your hungry for Sushi go somewhere else. more

There are a lot of japanese restaurants opening around this area but they are all stink when compared to Sushi Wasabi. Don't even bother trying anywhere else because you'll sit there wondering why you just didn't go to Wasabi. Once you try it, you can't go back~ more

We've been going here for about four years now and we love the sushi. There is one particular chef that really takes care of the customers. You automatically notice that people who come there quite often knows him well and even new customers get to know him as well. Place is always clean and up to its standard. I don't recommend it as a romantic place to go but good for groups and families with children. Pros: good service, great sushi Cons: not at all romantic but can be better more

I love this restaurant!! We go for all holidays, anniversaries, birthdays~ They try to theme the restaurant to the right occasion too and their efforts in decorating make me smile.\r \r The food is always good so I don't need to go into too much detail except I really want to say that no other restaurants in this area can really compare to O! Sushi Wasabi!!!! We are not a cooking family so we take-out for all our special occasion dinner parties and you can guess how fast the food is devoured by our guests. \r \r It's absolutely a magnificent restaurant and Corona would not be the same without this place... more

The sashimi is always fresh and the restaurant is very accomodating to all types of people. I love the people that work there and this is the only japanese restaurant that I go to in Riverside... more

I don't know about other people but I've never had bad service here before. It does get crowded on the weekends but it's part of the fun atmosphere at this restaurant. I've never been treated rudely or ignored but it is true, the service may be slower when it's busier than not. The sushi bar is great and worth the wait. The tables are good when you come with your family or you want a more personal meal with a date.\r \r The food is different and unlike others. If you dont mind waiting a half an hour to get a beer this is your place. The sushi chefs are amazing. They get drunk with you and have a lot of fun doing their job. They really know how to make killer rolls. But the service is terrible. There use to be this cute little blonde that worked there and she ran her butt off trying to compensate for the other idiots that didnt do their job. I wish we had her back... Other then the terrible service this place really is the best. The fish is always really fresh and i'm a fan of the edemame. I love being able to sit back, drink my cold sake, and watch the games. Its a great place to meet new friends if you are sitting at the sushi bar. It seems every time you go there you get offered a shot of a new sake or soju! You might want to bring your own water or go up and get it youself because you'll be waiting for a while for service. I dont recommend going here for a quick meal unless you ordered out and even then sometimes it takes forever for them to ring you up! Its really fun if you have A LOT of time on your hands! Love it! Love it! Love it! I swear it is addicting because now I have to go in at least once a week. I think I have to go a couple more times in order to say that I have tried everything on their menu. When it comes down to it, it is all about the food. Next, it's to find a place where I can enjoy my food. OL Sushi Wasabi provides both! Love this place!!!! more

I want to say that this restaurant is not only the best in Corona but is fairly comparable to those in L.A. I'm not an expert but I do eat out very often and love particularly eating Japanese food. I've been to many Japanese restaurants and find myself wishing I had just gone to Wasabi because I love everything about this place. Their food is accomodating to everybody that love sushi, rolls, sashimi or to those that just love the lunch/dinner plates with terriyaki, udon, or tempuras. I am definitely not a big fan of chain restaurants and I can say with confidence that the food that is served here cannot be compared to the supermarket or chain styled Japanese food. The sushi chefs seems to have as much fun as their sushi bar customers during the night. Also, most family owned Japanese restaurants tend to be smaller or they fusion it with different kinds of Asian food but the Wasabi restaurant is much bigger, which makes me feel a lot more free to eat and everything about this restaurant makes it my favorite! more

Whenever I need to go to the market, I cannot help but to stop for lunch or dinner at Wasabi. The location is really convenient and the food is really incomparable to any other restaurants I went to in that area. If you are in the mood for some quality and authentic Japanese food, this is the place to go. It really is nice having the TVs because there is nothing like enjoying sushi while watching the games. The service is great and it really is a nice restaurant for all occasions. It's big enough for a big group and intimate enough to just take your wife. If you live in the Riverside area and you have never been to Wasabi, I would highly recommend checking it out. more

I have tried most of the Japanese restaurants in this area, but I constantly find myself going back to this establishment. For starters, they have a great menu selection. Of course, they have all of the staple sushi items, but the restaurant constantly seems to develop new and innovative dishes, which are quite delectable. Second, the restaurant definitely has a fun and festive ambiance provided with great service. This definitely puts me at ease and makes my dining experience much more enjoyable. Lastly, as a sports fan, it is a wonderful place for me to sit at the sushi bar, drink a bottle of Japanese beer and to enjoy the latest sporting events. The place offers several plasma screen tvs, which makes it easy for me to watch all of my games. All of these elements combined make me want to go to this place over and over again. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is interested in finding great sushi with a fun and enjoyable environment. more

The restaurant itself is spacious and you can choose to eat at the sushi bar or at the table. I have been going to this restaurant for years and it really has a creative menu and the service is great. I always like to go with my friends to drink sake or beer while watching the games on their plasma TVs. I think I've tried everything on the menu and have never felt dissatisfied.
