Nuevo Road Animal Hospital

I love this veterinarian. He is very knowedgable and compassionate. I recently took my pet there because he wasn't eating. Dr. Ahmed did diagnostic bloodwork and digital x-rays and discovered that my dog had eaten a toy from one of my kids. I called all around looking for a good price for the surgery, Dr. Ahmed was the cheapest and his work was great. The toy was lodged, but he was able to get it out and Rex is home and happy!!!!! I took my cat to the Nuevo Animal Hospital because he had a bladder problem. We have used them for years but since I could not pay for it until the 1st, they told me he was not critical and to come back when I had $1200.00. We looked at the bill and reduced all the extra charges but I still couldn't come up with the $600.00. Sorry, take your sick cat and go home. Do I recommend this vet? Not on your life. Found another vet who was more reasonable and willing to work with me. My cat is getting the treatment he needs. Unless you have tons of money, don't bother going there. more

Over several years I have taken my dogs (Japanese Akita's) to the Vet, at Nuevo Road Animal Hosp. I have been very satisfied with the medical service given by Dr.Ahmed, Majid. But at times I questioned his diagnosis. However as time went by, I found he was correct.ever time. Sadly my Akita's died from old age last year.. Now I have a St Bernard from the rescue center . ""Mary Roberts ""located in Riverside. About one month after I collected Sebastian (that's his name) I noticed he was biting his flesh badly,. at his rear end. I took him to Nuevo Animal Hospital and Dr, Majid diagnosed the problem, off the bat. And gave me medicine which in less than 3 weeks had completely cleared the nasty skin infection. The examination , plus the medicine and very good advice, was all at a fair price. more

The office staff is friendly but the office is overpriced and they try to get away with adding things to your bill that you don't approve. I'm sure the doctor thinks that most people won't even notice - I did and was furious! He's supposed to help animals, not be a greedy money grubber! Pros: They provide vet services Cons: Expensive, Rough with Animals, Add Extras w/out Your Knowing more
