It has been a while since I have been, but the food is great! I had the pollo de brasa (did I spell that right?) Anyway, the chicken. It was awesome! Ceviches were great! I did not have a item there. The red is a little much, but the food is very good! more

Very happy I found this place. 9/15/2010

Ok so heres the deal. I went to Nuela by accident. The day before I saw 2 of the most beautiful women waliking into the restaurant. I decided to try it out the next night. ALthough I did not see the same two beauties, I did see many good looking people. Including the staff. So enough of the honest shallowness. The food was FANTASTIC. They serve this bread with a honey mascapone cheese. I asked for a refill even though I heard my mothers voice as a kid (dont fill up on bread). I cheated and tried 2 different Seviche dishes. The Salmon was my fav. For the main course I had the steak. It came with a big bone filled with athe marrow. It was cooked to perfection. I am being honest when I say that I never fill these review things out but I was looking it up to see if everyone loved the food as much as I did. Only go to this place if you want an awesome atmosphere, great food, and good looking people. more

Best Latin Restaurant in NYC 9/14/2010

I have been at Nuela several times already over the last 2 Months. The food is Great. The Chicken is by far the best that I have ever had in my life, the drinks are interesting, I never tried something like Chicha Morada before, and I really liked it. more

Ceviche comes with Chef's spit!!! 9/1/2010

Restaurant needs to work on hygiene. Ceviche comes with chefs spit! We got to the restaurant and the space was nice and service great. The bread was amazing with a nice sauce and the amuse bouche different. We sat by the ceviche bar and the chefs were meticulous in preparation. That was when we noticed something very wrong. The chef used a spoon to arrange many of the sauces and spoon the fish and afterwards he would put the spoon in his mouth to taste the food (good) but then dip the spoon into a mirky sink of water. That turned me off completely and any illnesses the chef might have could easily be passed on to any of the diners in the restaurant. What is worse is that we kindly let the head chef know on our way out to which he responded oh but he rinses the spoon in water. I don't know about you but that to me is not very clean. Very unfortunate cause the food was good. more

  • It?s a tough time to open a big restaurant, but Nuela has passion, energy and ?ol?! to spare. The walls and art are electric orangey red; the leather banquettes and chairs, fiery reddish orange....
