Great Gifts plus Knitting Goodies 3/21/2006

This shop has great gifts in a variety of price ranges. Recently I've really liked the art on the walls which is a more extravagant purchase, but the smaller items are all fun to check out. The jewelry here is great for your kooky aunt or mom who hates the usual. Plus they have a selection of yarn, knitting patterns & accouterments for the crafters in your life. The staff is friendly & helpful and will help you find the prefect gift and a card to go with it. There's always new stuff to look at. This is a really good place to find a gift for the person who is impossible to shop for. more

Quirky Shop, pure Takoma Park Style 11/4/2005

Now and Then is THE place to go if you are in a jam for a last minute gift. I can't tell you how many times this place has saved me. They sell so much in a relatively small space and everything is quirky and unique. They have strange knick-knacks like plastic babies and bouncy balls but they also have and hip furniture and jewelry. Plus they sell an assortment of cards that you certainly aren't going to find in the average Hallmark section of the drugstore. The prices can be kind of high, but usually aren't outrageous. more
