Avoid this company at all costs. Gary came once to give an estimate and we never saw him again throughout the whole, horrible experience. Only his workers, who made our beautiful, original 1920's oak floor pumpkin orange. When we called immediately to let him know the floors were a disaster he did not come himself, instead he sent the same workers back, who put another layer of oil based stain over the orange, which we had to pay for. When we called to tell him the floor was still orange, he STILL did not come to look at our floors. Didn't even ask for pictures. Instead he quoted us an additional $2700.00 to fix the work. Imagine our shock!\r
Just terrible service.\r
So we found a different floor refinisher who has been doing it his whole life and works through insurance companies, and he just started laughing when he saw our floors, (and I quote), ""Wow! I have never seen that color on a floor!"" He then pointed out that Gary's team had managed to get brush marks of the weird stain on our Batchelder hearth tiles. You could clearly see where the stain color had been slapped on. He took pictures for us and volunteered to call Gary himself and tell him of the damage. He never heard back from Gary after many attempts. We just park the rug up against the stain marks.\r
This second company was wonderful. The owner was on-site to make sure the floors came out perfectly and guess what? His total charge to fix the whole house was $1600.00, and it is now a wood color known in nature.
