This was one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. It's definitely not for somebody who is looking for a discount Italian restaurant, but WELL worth the money. The view was great as well, but I care more about the food than anything else and the food was great. Get the veal and the octopus. You won't regret it : ). I went here last weekend during my trip to Vegas with some friends, and this place was unbelievable. First of all, the service was prompt and so incredibly friendly. Erica, our waitress, and Heidi, the bartender, were so incredibly warm and friendly (not to mention cute!) They took care of everything and made sure we had a great time, they were so much fun. The food was exquisite, I have been to Italy and this was comparable to some of those restaurants. Everything was prepared carefully, and the sauces and vegetables tasted so very fresh. We also had their special expresso with Bailey's shot, which was great. The portions will fill you up so don't eat too much before! All in all, a great meal, and for a restaurant of this caliber at the Palms in Vegas, pricing isn't bad. And it's located right under Moon and the Playboy Club, which if you have guestlist and enough ladies in your party, you can get into directly from the restaurant. I very highly recomend it. Nove is absolutely phenominal. Having had the opportunity to dine in some of the finest restaurants in Italy, I must say that Nove is the real deal. I wholeheartedly disagree with the negative comments made by other reviewers. I have dined at nove about nine times and have enjoyed the experience with all of the waiters. Yes, the food is pricey, but this is Las Vegas. What do you expect to pay at a restaurant 51 stories high, with breathtaking views of the strip and some of the best food around. My only issue was with the woman who identified herself as the Wine Director (Liz ?) and attempted to assist us with a winelist that she seemed to be so completely unfamiliar with. I recently dined at Nove Italiano with my mother and other relatives. The headline to this review is a quote from my mother after we had left the restaurant. The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere is out of this world, and most importantly, the service was flawless! Vincent and Tony made great recommendations and answered all of our questions accurately. Plus, what wonderful senses of humor on these two! They made us all feel at home. They introduced us to Chef Gino! He took a picture with my mother! I read a couple reviews about service above and i can understand that some servers may take themselves a bit too seriously, but I will say this...they all worked together! We had random people in the restaurant clearing our plates including the guys and gals wearing the vests!! I think they are the team leaders....they were helpful and seemed to be enjoying themselves...and one more thing, we were NOT spending thousands of dollars like I am sure some of their clientele. And yet, ""treated like royalty!"" \r \r Overall, if you are looking to have a good time and start your Vegas night off with a wonderful experience, GO TO NOVE!! Playboy Club and Moon are right above the restaurant....if you are looking for a quiet smaller venue, look into something else....this place is large, beautiful, and gets you ready for an unbelievable Vegas experience...highly recommended Pros: SERVICE!!! I am feel sorry for the other reviewers experiences. I had a great time, The dishes were exelently prepared, the service was great, and the room is absolutly beutifull. I have been there twice and have noticed it's difficult to get in later in the evening if you don't have a reservation due to the restaurant sharing elevators with two nightclubs, a reservation fixes that problem. The staff knows the food well and is always ready to make suggestions on what is best. Highly recommended.. Pros: Beutifull room, Great food, Fun Service, that is on point Cons: Hard to get to front door on busy nights. more

I think the previous reviewer had our same waiter. I have never been treated with more disrespect in a restaurant than at Nove. Our waiter - ""Josh""? (I think) was clearly taking himself waayyy too seriously. His comments about our inability to appreciate the food were completely out of line. Especially since we've dined at plenty of restaurants that make this place look like McDonald's (places like the French Laundry). That aside, once we called in the manager and our waiter was replaced, we had a great time. Food is solid. Nothing too adventurous, but well-prepared. The ambience is wonderful, and the access to the Playboy club makles it an ideal venue for a celebration like a birthday or bachelor(ette) party. I'd recommend it, but if you get a whiff of attitude, don't put up with it. Just call the manager, and you should be fine. We ate at Nove for a friends party of 6 people. The restaurant had a fantastic view and nice decor. They also have an extensive wine selection.\r \r The service was terrible! We waited 15 minutes after being seated before our waiter even brought us menus! When he finally did come over, he was rude and acted like he was doing us a huge favor by even speaking to us. He never checked on us after our entrees came out. To make matters worse, he added a 20% gratuity that he so did not deserve to our check!\r \r The food was average, and a little too salty.\r \r Having planned the party for our friend, I was very embarassed by my choice of restaurant. There are pleanty of other great dining options in Las Vegas. Pros: decor, wine selection, view Cons: Average food, rude service, expensive for what you get. more

i would definitely recommend this place if you want to truely throw yourself into the ""vegas"" experience. it is a little pricey, but worth every dime in ambiance, flavor of food, view of the city, and beautiful people. the staff are gorgeous ! the food is amazing! the view is breathtaking!\r if you like to get dressed up and invest in your night, i would start here (then head out on the town...)\r more
