I've been taking my cats to Northwest Veterinary hospital for 20 years, and have been impressed by the good service and caring attitude. They realize that the biggest factor in the animal's health is the way the owner cares for it, and they are very helpful in working with you to make it do-able to handle special diets, dental care, medications, etc. (If you tell them the cat won't take a particular pill, they'll help you figure out a way to get the medication in another form, etc.) They are very good about getting you into appointments on time, and fitting you in if your pet has an emergency. Recently our 17-year-old cat (who'd been seen there since she was a kitten) was dying of cancer. She took a turn for the worse overnight, and in the morning it was clear that it was time to put her down. When we called, they didn't have space in the schedule, but when we explained what the problem was, they told us to come in. We discovered that they had called another doctor on their staff to come in on her day off so our cat wouldn't have to keep suffering. Very, very impressive.
