Northwest Family Physicians

I scheduled an appointment about a month ago. I talked with a woman that was so crabby and rude, that I almost hung up the phone. I knew I needed to be seen, so I stuck with it. I made my appointment, and confirmed everything with the woman. As the time grew near, I realized I had to reschedule my appointment. I called back and got another woman, who was a lot nicer than the other one I had spoke with. Come to find out, the first one had completely scheduled me for a ton of stuff I didn't need. So I rescheduled my appointment for one week out, the same day of the week, at the same time. I arrived 20 minutes early and the most awful, rude and condescending receptionist was sitting at the desk. I told her who I was and my appointment. She proceeded to tell me my appointment was at 5. I explained to her that no it was not, it was at 6. She proceeded to tell me that she could call the doctor to see if I could still be seen. She picked up the phone and told the nurse, that I was wrong about the appointment, but I (meaning me) was wondering if I could still be seen. The nurse was going to check. She took my insurance info and ran it through. The nurse came out and said I would have to reschedule. She said if I had a minute, I could be seen at 6:40, which was an hour. A minute? I asked her how long the appointment was going to take and if she knew what the appointment was scheduled for, and she couldn't tell me, she asked me if I wanted the appointment or not. She was rude, and crabby, and that was something I didn't need at that time. I tried to explain to her why I needed to be seen and she waved me off. The worst part about it is, I had my 9 year old daughter with, who witnessed this woman, being condescending and rude. I have never been treated so horrible in a doctor's office in my life. I proceeded to tell her I would find another doctor, and she told me ""you do that."" As my daughter and I were leaving, my daughter said to me, mom, please don't ever make me go there. This place is a joke!!! If you want good medical care, politeness, and smiles, this is the wrong place to go.. Maybe they should find employees that like their job and are geared more to people in need, then their own miserable lives. \r \r HORRIBLE PLACE!!! more

I just moved to the area and have not been feeling well. After seeing another doctor and the Neurologist she referred me to I ended up at the urgent care at NWFP. I saw a PA there named Don. I just loved him. He actually took the time to LISTEN and ask questions. After the exam he sat down and explained everything to me. I wont go anywhere else now. I have never felt more cared for by a medical professional. Finally it is true that some people are in the medical field because they do care. Don is a shining example. more

My family has been going here for over 25 years. They have growen and continue to grow. The Doctors are the best. There is emergency care for those times you need it. The location on West Braodway is vary convenient. more

NW Family Physicians is a great place for you healthcare needs. Though it may take some time to get an appointment, they do have walk-up service. My only complaint is that Doctors seem to rotate through pretty frequently. Just when I get with one that I like, he's gone somewhere else.\r \r Staff is very compassionate and helpful. You're not a number at the place. But they do sometimes seems to be pushing patients through due to the high demand. more

My husband and I have been going to NWFP for 8 years now and I'm totally happy with them. I have had a bad allergic reaction that I had to get in right away and they were able to accomodate me. On the other hand, I have had to wait weeks for an appointment when it wasn't critical. Lots of people go there and are happy with them and their struggle is to keep enough staff constantly there to meet everyone's needs. I have never had to wait long to be called back after checking in and the nurses are really good. I don't want to have to go somewhere else for testing so it's good for me that they have everything from blood draws to X-rays to mammograms right on site.\r Did I mention that I really like my doctor? Because when everything else is said and done, that's what matters most to me. more

the biggest draw-back of this clinic is that it is always busy and overbooked. Located on the top floor of the Crystal Galary right on Broadway it offers everything an leading clinic does. Dr and nurses are great but usually in a rush. It can take 2 or more weeks to get into see a specific dr. Although I think this is just normal in this day and age, expecially with good drs. more

My family has been using this clinic for 10 years. We have NEVER had bad customer service or bad service by any of the doctors. When I have needed to get an appointment in a hurry, they have always been able to accomodate me. They are flexible with their scheduling and are very willing to work around my work schedule. I ahve never had to wait long for my appointments. They also have great followup after appointments. more
