In service in the community since 1997. Northville First Care is committed to be the best we can be in providing child care in a secure, comfortable, Christian home away from home. We have low teacher to child ratios to ensure frequent one to one interactions and foster independence. We are a safe, healthy, clean environment which encourages the children to discover, explore, and develop at their pace. We believe play is important in the learning process and we use it to teach in all areas. Child care is provided for children from 6 weeks old to 5 years old. We separate children into 5 age groups that remain with us until they go to Kindergarten.
Classrooms are age based and play with age appropriate toys. Dance is offered to 3, 4, 5 year olds. Using the system set up at Northville Public Schools children learn motor skills. We are a peanut free center. We take all of our children outside to play every day, weather permitting. Even our littlest babies go outside in our baby buggies so they can experience the outside as well. When we can't take the children outside due to weather, the children play in the church s gym with indoor toys. Field trips are walking trips for our older children to explore the world around them. Themes are chosen for the season by the head teachers, each teacher incorporates what is age appropriate for their age group.
