How many lies???????? 2/24/2011

Problems from the word go. The worst car buying experience I have ever had in the past 20 years. Lie 1-We were lied to about the use of the vehicle by Management going on a business trip. (We found kids tickets to a game place and many many wrappers from children throughout the entire vehicle.) This is a NEW z71 Tahoe with 3 seats. Lie 2-We were told the extra set of keys, owners manual, everything that is supposed to come with a new vehicle from inside etc. would be overnight-ed to us. 3 days later called back. Lie3-we were told the salesperson was sick but it was put into the mail that morning by the secretary that answered the phone. Lie 3- the next evening I called and with the salesman that sold us the car was out of the office so I talked to the evening internet manager and he promised that he would find out where and when the package went out and if it had not gone out that the salesman who sold us the car would personally bring the package to use, we left the conversation with him calling me back in the morning with information on what would happen...........by noon no call no package. Lie 4- Called Paul the General Manager and told the whole story and he said that he would find out who sent the package and when it should have arrived. I reiterated that we were told it would be overnight ed to us and that we NEEDED a tracking number. I also said that I found it irritating that I keep finding kids trash, toys and junk in my NEW CAR. He called back and left a message stating that he knows it was sent but it was not overnight but did not leave a tracking number and would call us back in the morning with the number. Next morning no call with the tracking number. I called in the afternoon frustrated not yelling I spoke to the receptionist and she sounded very irritated that I was calling again and kept sending me to the GM's voice mail. I left a voice mail stating to call me back. I called back asking to speak to a live person since leaving a voice mail at this dealership never seems to be returned and the receptionist actually stated I just answer the phones I can't get up and find the person you want to speak to. At that point I decided to tell her that IF I had to drive the car back and return the car they did not want me in the show room but perhaps it would be best because then they would actually have to answer my questions. As of right now I am sitting at my desk patiently waiting for the GM to call me back with the tracking number. I am putting a 1 star rating because it requires me do so to publish this review. more

Great Sales Department 2/23/2011

To: Tom Benson Management I have been a member of the Tom Benson Dealership and buying since 1994. At every purchase I've made sure I was paired with a knowledgeable salesperson Emilio who answered all of my questions and actually helped me select the car best suited for my needs. I never felt any pressure or never had several people descend on me during the price negotiations as in other dealerships. Karissa was the best Sales Person that we have ever dealt with. She was extremely friendly and very knowledgable about the vehicle. It felt like we had known her for years. We have had the car for over 3 weeks now and she still contacts us to make sure everything is alright. Great Sales! 9/27/2010

That was a breathe of fresh air! Went in and picked up a used VW. I went online, checked out all the photos. I requested some addiational info, made an offer and the same day I was driving! Superb! My salesperson was easy to deal with, and her boss was very polite. thank you Karissa and Jason. Everyone needs to get all of your stuff online with these guys. more

This Is How You buy A Truck! 9/13/2010

I went back online after a horrible treatment from another dealer expecting the worst! Boy I was wrong. They had the truck I wanted and even gave me another rebate for being USAA member. Awesome! 9/10/2010

I sent in an email to the Internet Department about a Silverado. Let me tell you, smooth, smooth, smooth! they gave me price. Went in. Test drove. They gave me options. This manager named Jason spoke with me to make sure I was happy. Went into finance. 1hr 15 minutes later I was driving out in my new truck! THAT'S THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE!!! Perfect! 8/28/2010

I went to another dealer in San Antonio to buy a Cobalt for my daughter, and they treated me badly. I did not want a repeat so I went online. I got a response from Karissa. I went in to the dealership and within 1 hour I left in my family car. Before I went to sign my paperwork this buy guy came and sat down with me. He asked me if Karissa took care of me and answered all my questions. He actually then proceeded to ask if she treated me fair. Wow, that was impressive! His name tag said Jason V. \r \r This is the way you treat a customer! Thank you guys! more

Low pressure sales team sold us a Silverado for great price! 6/27/2008

The internet sales person, Emilio, was extremely helpful and friendly during our visit to the dealership. He took us through the different trim and model types of the Silverado 1500 line up and helped us pick the right one for our family needs. (We went with crew cab model for our family.) \r \r Pricing was exactly what we wanted and although he offered certain up-sale items, when we passed on them, he did not pressure us further. They seem to be pretty friendly in general and that is rare for an auto dealership. I recommend them completely. Pros: Very friendly and not pushy on extras for vehicle purchase Cons: None that I can think of actually more
