My family has visited this church several times, and it's been a great experience each time. The adult sunday school classes are taught by very knowledgeable men who have a deep understanding of scripture, and the people are very nice and inviting. The Children's classes are very fun and interesting for them as well. Our children love going to their classes and seeing the friends they've made on previous visits. The pastoral staff is full of very nice and servant minded men. the Pastor's preaching is encouraging and convicting at the same time. They are a little behind the times in some areas like music and Bible version, but overall, this would be the Church my wife and I would attend in we lived in the Charleston area. more

Kind & Friendly 5/13/2010

Bible focused services. Traditional music, and graded Sunday School from elementary through adult classes. Awana kids clubs during the school year. Recommend if looking for a Bible centered conservative service. Pros: Warm, vibrant singing and Christ centered preaching more

Avoid this place!! 12/18/2009

Let's just say you don't want to be affiliated in any way with these people. If you enjoy having your life examined and judged by others, being spoken to while at church but otherwise excluded from any social activity, and constantly being told everything is a sin, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, try a different church. There are so many in Charleston to choose from, why would anyone go to this one? Pros: Good music program. Cons: Cliquish, Judgemental. more
