Northside is the best! 8/2/2012

My puppy absolutely adores Dr. Wells, Dr. Youngblood, and all of the exceptional staff at Northside. Our other pets have always loved them too and have received such excellent care there through the years. The newest member of our family, a 12 week old puppy, thinks Northside is like a spa or something as she gets so excited about seeing the incredible staff each time we take her, whether for a bath, a check-up, shots, or whatever. Recently, our puppy fell very ill, and Dr. Wells quickly diagnosed and promptly treated her with his outstanding knowledge and expertise. As always, he was so compassionate, and he healed our dog very quickly. Dr. Wells and his staff were fabulous about checking on our pet's condition each day until she was "out of the woods". It is so nice to take "our baby" to a place where we know she will be treated with kindness, gentleness, friendliness, and extraordinary veterinary care. It is also fun to run into other pleasant clients and their pets when at No more

Love Dr. Wells and staff 7/24/2012

Absolutely love Dr. Wells and his staff. I have been bringing my dog here since he was a puppy and have had nothing but great experiences with them!! My dog recently hurt his back and I was worried he would be permanently damaged because of it. Dr Wells eased my worries and was very compassionate, and didn't mind taking my many calls concerning his back injury. And thanks to Dr. Wells care my dog has 100% recovered!! Will continue to take my dog and future animals to Dr.Wells!!!! more

Northside Animal Hospital is Awesome! 7/4/2012

My family and I have been big fans of Dr. Mike Wells and the entire staff of Northside Animal Hospital for over 20 years. Dr. Wells has been so skillful and compassionate in taking care of our beloved animals. In addition to being such a fine doctor, he has always been aware of our feelings, treating us with kindness and empathy while simultaneously giving our pets top notch care. Dr. Wells reacts quickly in an emergency, while maintaining a calm, competent, and reassuring manner and is always more than willing to discuss our pet's condition by phone or in person at the office. Not only is Dr. Wells super, but his whole staff is truly exceptional and goes the extra mile to take care of the pet and the pet's human family. It is nice to be treated so kindly and professionally by Dr. Wells and his lovely staff regardless of whether we are there to board our pet, have a checkup or procedure, or just stop by to pick up a necessary medicine or supply. My family and I will always be inde more

Agree 100% with other low reviews here!!! Husband & I took a male yorkie we rescued to be neutered in early November 2011, and we wound up having so many problems! The worst one however was Dr. Wells manners, or should I say, lack of them! I had questions about the kind of meds used to put him to sleep for the procedure as yorkies have a tendency to have strong reactions to some, resulting sometimes in DEATH! He blew this concern off by letting me know he was the vet and knew what was what,HUH! While in he was given shots and worming, etc and a couple days after we got him home, he developed an injection site lump which turned out to be an abcess that had to be drained. He was given a kennel cough shot that's for puppies even though he was 1 year old and was not going to be boarded anywhere, and this caused him to develope a slight case of the very disease it's supposed to prevent! My poor fellow was throwing up, running fever, and just plain sick as well.... a DOG!!! We took him back more

AVOID DR WELLS AT ALL COST 2/2/2012

AVOID DR. WELLS AT ALL COSTS!!!!! Dr. Youngblood is a wonderful, fantastic, caring vet! The staff including Cathy and Selene are fantastic and we love them, however Dr. Wells is rude, mean, cantankerous, and completely INEPT as a vet, this man is more of a CROOK than a vet. His cash register starts to CACHING the second you walk through the door with an injured animal. Its like an auction house to get a price! he RAN us out the door after saying our dog was NOT SHOT But I knew he was definitely shot by our neighbor! Dr. Wells seemed angry when his nurse showed him the bullet hole entrance and exit wound. He told us to put a splint on the leg of our dog was going to cost $200.00 well we were given so many different prices my head was spinning, but it ended up costing us FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS and he did NOTHING! I mean NOTHING! we left with a dog in obvious agony and distress and this rude and hateful, obnoxious man will NEVER get a cent of my money again! I did end up taking a more

Xena Loves Northside Animal Hospital 1/11/2012

The doctor has always fully explained everything about my dog's health. He is thorough, kind, and has a great way with animals. I always feel he really cares about my pet's over all well being. The office staff is efficient, humorous, polite, and great with the animals. Fees are quite reasonable. If it counts for anything, Xena loves to go to Northside. When I tell her we're going she jumps right up in the car. more

Take care here!!! 11/11/2011

Will never take my pet there again! I recommend using any vet but this one! The staff are friendly and helpful but the vet doesn't think it's important to listen to your descriptions of your pet's problems. Doesn't allow you time to ask questions, and doesn't give enough info about vaccinations, procedures, etc. Very rude, cuts you off mid-sentence and then gets mad if you dare to ask a question! If you love your pets, I suggest seeking care elsewhere!!! more

Northside Animal Hospital is alright 11/9/2005

Northside Animal Hospital has great service some of the time. Depends on what mood you catch their resident vet in. He can be snappy and he can be rude but he does a good job with the animals. They give the clinics for shots every year for dogs but still... I prefer other vets to this one. more

Bobo's Doc 11/2/2005

This animal hospital/Veterinarian has been treating and taking care of my miniature daushund for 12 years. Bobo has gone through an electrocution, being run over by my mother, neutering and a multitude of infections and general maintance care and shots with this vet. Although they have the words "MUZZLE - WILL BITE" in red letters across his file, they still treat him like I do (like my third child). Recently Bobo got diagnosed with skin cancer and had to have several lesions removed. Although we will have to keep an eye on him for more lesions, Dr.Youngeblood made sure to assure my children and ME that Bobo will not suffer any life shortness or pain (other than the lesion removal procedure) due to the skin cancer. With Mr. Beaureguard ( Bobo's real name) being a part of our family for 12 years, this animal hospital/vet is the best, I trust them just like I trust my human children's pediatrician. PROS: Friendly and compassionate staff. CONS: more
