Northfield Inn & Suites\r \r This hotel is nasty. Anyone who had a function here before 6/1/13 would be disgusted if they knew the condition of the kitchen, who prepped their food, how the food was prepared, and how the sales team talked about the client when they werent around.. There was mold throughout the kitchen, in the coolers, on shelves, and in the freezer. Outdated food and beer. Food was prepped with dirty fans blowing over it on top of moldy tables that had to be powerwashed. The kitchen was infested with gnats. Maggots fell from the ceiling in a meeting room. Cob webs throughout the hotel. Food was stored on the floor. Employees were allowed to work while intoxicated and when they were sick. Nasty place. more

100 degree dirty room and fire alarm with no reason 7/14/2011

Very suprise with other reviews, This is what I got. Booked by hotwire, Went there around 10pm. The guy in the reception keep told me I went to the wrong place until I show him the confirm page that save in my laptop. Got a room at the edge of 2nd floor. Elevator is way too far, Got to climb the stairway with my luggage. when the door is open the AC was off and smile strange. I think it was more then 100 degree there. AC unit is very old (as the room) and feckly can not make any cool air. You can easy to find the trash on the carpet like the used staple that hurt my foot. Sheet and pillowcase is not fresh, towel in the bath room are mess. I don't konw how could they get 3 star? The best part is in the next moring the fire alarm was crying out suddenly, I walk to the parking lot and wait, No one come out to explain. very unhappy with the "3 star" motel. stay away! more

Exceptional Service 2/5/2011

I just want to say that the staff at northfield inn was very exceptional and courteous. I was recently in illinois just traveling through and ended up staying longer then anticipated. I loved the staff there. So very nice. and went above their job description in helping me They all deserve a big tip. and big thank you to each and everyone of them from the front desk to house keeping to maintenance all of them helped me and my children so very much and their help was very much appreciated. :) more

Perfect spot for wedding reception 8/1/2005

We had our wedding reception at Northfield Center in 1999. They did a great job on everything from the tasting to the reception. Pam, our sales person was very friendly and made sure our every wish was met. The food was wonderful and the room was set up perfectly. The catering staff was very friendly. We hope to have many more functions there in the future. more
