Joy Aden was horrible, although she has a great personality she will lie to you about procedures through the birthing process to get your baby delivered and get home to her family. She isn't intersted in your health concerns or what is important to you...C SECTIONS ALL THE WAY! Even without complications, she will get you there. more

I had a high risk pregnancy with growth restrictions and preeclampsia. It was imparative that I chose the right doctor. I needed someone I knew who would be able to handle the situation and would be there the entire way! Dr. Murdock was so compassionate and professional. I knew I was in good hands with her and that she could handle any situation. I had 100% confidence that everything would be okay. She's definitely my guardian angel and saved my life and my little angel's life! I will never forget the look of pure geniune joy on her face when she held my baby for the first time and knew that the baby was okay. I would highly recommend her especially to those who may have a high risk pregnancy and need to know that they will definitely be in good hands. more

I moved to San Antonio in 2002 and needed a GYN only since I quit having babies a long time ago. I was reluctant to go see someone who also delivers babies, but Dr. Murdock was close to my home and work. I was highly impressed from day one. Yes there have been occassions that I had to wait, but there have always been apologies. You expect waits when babies are in the mix. Unfortunately they pick the time they want to enter this world. From day one Dr. Murdock has treated me like a friend. I have never felt rushed when she is examining me and she always takes the time to learn about me personally and year after year remembers the things I have said from previous years. I don't know her trick since I know I am not her only patient. She has also been concern about my overall health and thanks to her I finally go my colonoscopy completed this year and also quit smoking. She cares about me and it shows. I don't understand what the previous people were talking about. I've had absolutely no issues with the staff at NE OB/GYN--especially Dr. Murdock. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be called back for my appointments, and the only time I had to wait for Dr. Murdock for very long was when she had an emergency surgery to perform on another patient. My wife and I just moved into the San Antonio area and went to see Dr. Murdoch on the recommendation of a friend. Being a physician myself, I was extremely dissappointed with the experience. My wife, probably like many who are looking for an OB, suffers through tough pregnancies. In her first, she had hyperemesis until the 20th week of pregnancy. This time, we hoped for expediancy at our appointment. Well, that certainly did not happen. It took a full one hour and 30 minutes to see Dr. Murdoch and two hours until we were out of the office. Our appointment was before 9 in the morning and there were no emergencies so it made the wait even more unacceptable. In addition to all this, there were no apologies for keeping us waiting, and the staff, starting with the front office (at the stone oak office) to the nurse seem to be less than helpful or for that matter, friendly. To Dr. Murdoch's credit, she did seem very knowledgeable and competent in what she does. Pros: Dr. Murdoch seemed competent Cons: Terrible office staff/nurse and long waiting times more

I loved Dr. Murdock when I first met her. She is very nice and down to earth. My opinion changed though after I had my baby. I labored for 19hours and after an emergency c-cestion found out that the baby was in the wrong position. I felt this was something that should of been caught earlier. Also, she never perfomed any breast/thyroid examination at any of my appt's. She is a very nice Dr. but I feel her patient load has increased over the years and she is rushed and not as thorough. A couple of my friends have felt the same way and we have all changed to a new Dr. She is nice though and very friendly. more

I have only been to her one time, but seriously -- she was awesome. It was just one of those things, I felt so lucky to have found a doctor I could ask questions to... and who took the time to listen. She was very encouraging -- and really seemed to care. Pros: VERY VERY professional, yet personable. You can tell she knows her stuff, but yet she's nice. Cons: She should be cloned... more doctors should copy her ways. more

I am a little experienced in the OB/GYN department after having had four babies! My first doctor in Washington State was absolutely wonderful, so wonderful in fact that she moved on to specialize in high-risk pregnancies. Needless to say, I was not overjoyed when I went through my second and third pregnancies with a less than optional doctor. This doctor made me feel as if she were treating a condition rather than the wonderful joys of motherhood. So when we moved to Texas and I came to see Dr. Murdock I was not expecting too much, not expecting to find that perfect doctor two times in my life. Coming to see Dr. Murdock every visit was something that I quickly grew to love and look forward to. She she truly cared about me and my pregnancy and made me feel wonderful again. After every visit I always walked out of her office with a smile on my face, a spring in my step, and renewed confidence in my pregnancy. After I broke my ankle during my ninth-month of pregnancy she personally made arrangements so that I had some help at home! Pros: Highly personable, highly knowledgeable Cons: Long office wait time, but worth it. more

There is not another Dr. who can compare with Dr. Tammy Murdock. She is the best there is. In 2003 I got very sick and she took over for my Dr. who was on vacation. If it was not for Dr. Murdock I would not be alive today. I believe with all my heart that Dr. Murdock saved my life. The Doctor that she took over for is a very good Dr. also and he works in the same office as her but, after everything that happened I felt a very strong connection with Dr. Murdock and she became my Dr. She took care of me with so much caring and compassion that it felt as if she was more than a Dr. she became my friend. When I was well enough to become pregnant she took excellent care of me during my pregnancy. My baby girl was born in Aug, 2005 and she had some breathing problems but, because of Dr. Murdocks quick actions my baby girl is a very happy and very healthy 16 month old today. There are no words to describe how thankful I am to Dr. Murdock for all that she has done for me and my family. I have found the best OB/GYN Dr. and will never use another. more

Dr. Tammy Murdock is an amazing doctor because she takes the time to listen to her patients and really cares. After having several bad experiences with a previous gynocologist over the past 10 months, I decided to seek a second opinion with Dr. Murdock. Come to find out, the symptoms I was having were related to the oral birth control that I was taking as prescribed by my previous doctor. Dr. Murdock calmed my fears and assured me that my symptoms would go away by switching to a different oral birth control. I was so relieved to have finally found a doctor who offers the whole package in treating patients. She also gives excellent advice and information for planning conception and pregnancy. I will surely return to Dr. Murdock for prenatal care when it's time for my husband and I to conceive our first child. more

Dr. Murdock is a great doctor. She works hard to ensure that all her patients needs are met. She clearly and simply explains medical terminology and procedures. This is my first pregnancy and throughout the whole process she has explained what will happen in the next few weeks btn visits regarding my pregnancy. Plus she is more than willing to take the extra few minutes to discuss through issues of concern or answer questions. I have never just felt like another patient - I have always felt that she genuinely cares. more
