i took my Dog to Rich at Northeast about .. 13years ago .. she has now passed away (r.i.p. Psyco) she was a young , energetic pitbull who needed a bit of ""guidence"" Rich did an AWESOME job .. and you can ask ANYONE about my dog.. she was the BEST trained dog in town .my sister also brought her Male , stubborn, thick headded pit to Rich.. he came back a compleat gentalmen. Also i recomended NE K-9 to a friend at work , now her 1yr old rotty is the best dog on the block... i HIGHLY recomend NE K-9 to anyone who needs training for there dog ( and a little ""people training"" as well.. keep in mind , it's not just the dog that needs training, the owner does too ) more

I have been using Northeast K-9 Academy's services for a few years now. I use their daycare at least 3 times a week and also use their grooming service as well. I have to say that the care and attention my baby gets there is wonderful. She gets very excited when we pull into the parking lot. She used to get very anxious and upset about her tubbies and nail trims at other groomers, but she just jumps right into the tub for them. I would highly recommend using Northeast K-9 to everyone looking for great care for their dog. Pros: Great service more

I've been bringing my dog to Northeast K9 for 3 years. He goes there for daycare and is frequently groomed. He even stays overnight! The people that work there are so nice and friendly, and my dog goes absolutely BONKERS as soon as i turn onto mill street because he's SO excited to go to doggy daycare!!! I've had my dog shaved there many times, and I can't believe what these other people said about the place. It can't possibly be true. more

We dropped off our Great Pyrenees and Pomeranian at 9am and told the desk worker to shave them to one inch length. We were told it would be 2-3 hours and we left. When we didn?t hear back by 12:30 we went to check on them. We were greeted at the door with they are not done because they had to shave the Pyr all the way down in which we proceeded to flip out about. Anyone who knows Pyr?s knows they have pink skin and are prone to sun burns and skin cancer so you CAN NOT shave them short, no less than 1 inch. After hearing the desk man and groomer arguing in the back the groomer came out and said she didn?t look good at 1 inch so he shaved her down again we went off about her breed not being able to be shaved that short. He then let us see her. She was nearly bald blotchy and even bald in some spots. Her head has a bald spot in the middle of it and the line where the shaved part and unshaved head meets is all uneven so even if this short of a shave was healthy/ acceptable the grooming job was not. Again more arguing. Then he brought out our Pom wet and half done he wasn?t going to finish him not that we wanted him to. We left without paying. As we drove away we noticed cuts and upon a more thorough inspection we found over 20 cuts one of which appears to be a nipple cut off. We rushed right to our vet. Our vet was disgusted and put her on antibiotics. He said she will be itchy and could develop hot spots and ingrown hairs. She is not allowed in the sun for two to three weeks maybe more depending on hair growth rate (she is outside in a kennel all day while we are at work and is always being taken on walks). The Pom had one cut on his testicle. Thank God he didn?t finish him. This place should not be in business and the groomer should not be allowed to be near any animals. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS TO THESE BUTCHERS. more
