I called this office because my daughter came to me wanting an abortion. I asked some questions about insurance because my daughter recently got commonwealth care but had to choose a provider. The girl was nice and told me network health would be the only one I could choose that would cover the procedure 100%. i asked if this would allow for my daughter to be put to sleep a number of times because my daughter had extreme anxiety over the situation. The woman assured me she would be put to sleep and the insurance would cover it once again. On the day of the appointment my daughter was called in 2 or 3 times on the last time they gave her a medication to put between her gums and cheek. they told her it would soften the cervix to make the procedure easier. They then wanted to give her an adivan. She asked if she could call me because she didnt know if it was necessary seeing she was being put to sleep. At that time the nurse told her she wasnt in fact being put to sleep. My daughter went hysterical and came out to the waiting room to get me. once i went into the room she tild me that because she already had the medicine in her mouth the had to do it awake.. I told her to spit it out rinse her mouth out and she doidn't have to do anything she didnt want to do.. the nurses tried to say she had to but there was no way at that time she could be awake. The dr came in was nice said their must have been a communication problem when it came to choosing the insurance.. i clearly kbnow there wasn't i was on the phone with his office as i chose the insurance online. but anyway he rescheduled her appointment for the following wednesday and told us to switch the insurance and that it took 48 hrs so it will be fine.He also said since she would be back in 1 week that medication would be fine. The following day we did exactly what the dr told us to do we switched to masshealth standard... on the day of the new appointment my daughter got a call from his office saying she wouldnt be seen. that the insurance didnt switch over. (apparently it takes 30 days or so for it to switch) now my daughjter being 13.2 weeks has no where to go because they started the procedure and refuse to finish and everywhere else wont because his office started it. This is the most negligent practice i have ever heard of let alone been involved with. Oh just want to note that we went to pick up her records from that day and conveiniently the paper she signed before taking that medication wasnt in the records so we did return again and get that too..... funny though that was the ONLY paper not in the copies that were given to her.!!!!
