My wife and I are half way through our first pregnancy, and I just told them we're through with them. We aren't going back. I don't even have any other doctor in mind, but right n...

Dr. Knickerbocker Is Fine With Me! 10/2/2007

I have been referred to Dr. Knickerbocker by my family doctor. I was having difficulty with cysts and menopause. She was friendly and direct. I felt that she was very knowledgeable about my problem and gave me answers that my last OB/GYN simply would not commit to. I am happily on a successful treatment plan and am relieved that I am not still waiting for a diagnosis from my other doctor. Also, I have never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes. more

Worth the Wait 9/24/2007

I've been seeing Dr Brandon for 4 years now and despite the waiting issues (which has been off and on for me), he's worth it. I agree that they could probably do a better job of the scheduling to manage the wait, but even if they don't I'll continue to go back. Dr Brandon has a great bedside manner, spends quality time with his patients and is very open and supportive about patient choices for both OB and gyn approaches/procedures. When I have to wait, I realize it's probably because he's spending that quality time with another patient and it's that attention that keeps me coming back. more

All great docs, but the office isn't run well 5/17/2007

I love all the Docs. here, including Dr. Knickerbocker who delivered my first baby. She does seem a little gruff sometimes, but she was very respectful during the delivery and did a great job encouraging me. She also happened to be the doctor I ended up seeing after getting some very bad health news unrelated to my pregnancy. She was just perfect -- said and did all the right things. Cyndi White is my doctor, and I love her. However, I have had a series of things happen this year that have me thinking about switching doctors, It's impossible to get an appointment if you aren't pregnant ---even if they tell you they need to see you again. And every appointment I've finally managed to make has been canceled -- once without me being notified. Then you have to start the horrible scheduling process again. One of the nurses is quite rude. She once refused to make an appointment for me unless I bought an OTC yeast infection test although I told her that I was quite sure I did not have a yeast infection. Turns out I had a bacterial infection that required antibiotics, but I had to wait a month to see the doctor to find that out. It just shouldn't be this difficult! more

Great doctors but be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait! 4/25/2007

I think the doctors here are very nice but they need some help managing their office better. I am pregnant with baby #2 and may switch to a new office because I am so sick of waiting over an hour for an appointment. Part of the reason you wait so long is that the doctors (Dr. Cindy White delivered my first, and Dr. Peter Brandon is who I see now) will spend tons of time chatting and answering all of your questions. Drs. White and Brandon have AWESOME bedside manners and are both parents themselves. I would agree about Dr. Knickerbocker's bedside manner, but I don't think she's delivering babies any longer...it's not her passion I guess! Also, Maggie the ARNP recently left to take a full-time research position at UW. You get great care, but you have to be patient! Lastly, I was told today that as of April 1, this office will not be doing VBAC's, so that's another reason I may leave...I had a c-section with my breech daughter the first time and was hoping for a VBAC this time. Good luck!! more

Dr. White is excellent (along with the office staff and nurses!) 7/22/2006

I've been a patient of Dr. White's for nearly four years and she is awesome-even for this white-coat-a-phobic! She provided me excellent care through two higher risk pregnancies and delivered my two healthy babies! I loved her so much, that I have kept her as my OB/GYN even after moving to Renton. As a side note, if you are even the slightest bit uncomfortable with doctors, I would *NOT* recommend seeing Dr. Knickerbocker, who also practices at NSWC. I saw her through the first half of my first pregnancy (before requesting another doctor) and I thought she had the worst bedside manner ever, but all of the other doctors, nurses and office staff have been excellent! more

See Maggie the Nurse Practictioner! 1/3/2006

I've had appointments here twice, the first time with Dr. Slack and the second time with Maggie who is a nurse practioner. Both Dr. Slack and Maggie were fantastic and I would definitely recommend either of them. Both were easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. Maggie is young and really friendly so when I go back again I'll definitely make my appointment with her if I can. She was great and very knowledgable. Highly recommended. more
