My new favorite place! I go there at least once a week for the last 3 months. I usually get the Generals Chicken and my daughter gets the sweet and sour.

Excuse me, waiter, there's a fly in my soup 7/9/2011

I wasn't expecting much when I decided to have lunch here. But it was close to work and looked like I could get back within the hour I had for my lunch break. I had hoped to find a neighborhood gem. Not the case. The waitress was very kind and prompt. However, the dead moth I found floating in my soup was not a good way to start off my meal. I wasn't too upset because, hey, stuff happens and they can't control for everything. But what really bugged me (yes, pun intended) was that I had to pay for my meal. Wouldn't you think a restaurant would want to comp the meal after you found a dead insect in it? Apparently not. I guess they really needed the $5.99 they charged for the meal. I won't be going back. more

Good Food; Fast, Friendly Service; Consistant Satisfaction! 2/26/2011

It's so easy to complain isn't it? They must have had a bad day 8 months ago but the HUGE SLAM at the top of the collumn lingers eh? more

Worse than Quik Wok! 6/29/2010

We ordered from North End Chinese because it was close to home, but NEVER AGAIN! The food was absolutely terrible! I would expect to find this food at a bad buffet or sitting in a grocery store deli - but even those are better. The crab rangoon was orange and clumpy on the inside. The sweet and sour pork was soggy. The shrimp and pork fried rice was 90% rice, 7% veggies, 2% eggs and 1% meat. The almond chicken was slimy. Even the fortune cookies (which we had to ask for) were stale. My boyfriend spent the better part of the night in the bathroom after eating here and I had to stop after two bites to take Reglan (for nausea) just to get it down. If you want to pay high prices for poor quality food and a stomach ache, get your dinner here! If you want Chinese food that is edible, don't look to these guys. Pros: It's in the north end. Cons: Over-priced McChinese Food more

Chinese food in boise 9/1/2008

I live in austin tx and visited idaho for a wedding and had to find a chinese rest. and happened upon this one. we were just hitting closing time and the satff convinced us that we were not inconveniencing them. so we ordered togo. the service was awesome(accomodating) and to be frank the food was perfectly chinese and exactly what we were looking for. The Gen. Tso's tofu better than most i have had. more

The best food and service ever. Don't know why the other guy was so bent out of shape. I eat here regularly and have always gotten good food and wonderful service. The girls are always helpful. Maybe someone else was just having a bad day. Pros: You get good food for your money. Cons: Having to put up with customers having bad days. more

Subpar food, extra charge for condiments, unfriendly service. 5/29/2007

I went through the drive through last night and order fried rice, mandarin chicken and fried shrimp. The wait was not long, but the woman at the drivethru window was less than friendly. I got my food and left. A block away I peeked in the bag, realizing that I had no sweet & sour for my fried shrimp. I like dipping my fried shrimp in it. I went back through the drivethru and explained that I had forgotten to ask for the sweet and sour. The woman informed me it would be 53 cents. Well, money is money, and every other Chinese restaurant in town that I have been to gives you a side of sweet and sour for nothing with fried shrimp. On principal, I did not get the sauce. The shrimp was very, very oily. The rice was sticky and dense, with little flavor and only a few pieces of onion and small bits of ham to spruce it up. The chicken was just short of inedible, consisting of approximately 2/3 breading with tough, stringy chicken inside. The sauce was bland, but was the most exciting thing about the meal. I spent a good 10 minutes trying to figure out how they got it to be so incredibly red. I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend. Pros: No lines Cons: There's a reason there's no lines...bad food, bad service, bad experience more

Drive thru Chinese at an affordable price! 2/13/2006

Really loved the sweet and sour (average but good) and the specialty pan fried noodles were good, too! more
