    About Us

Why Choose North East Roofing Contractors, Inc. ?

Roofing is all that we do! The crew arrives to install your new roof will contain individuals who have been specifically trained and formally educated to install material that you have selected. Go with a professional to protect your biggest investment.

We install a complete roof system designed by the same manufacturer, including ventilation! A roof system thrown together with products from multiple manufacturers places the property owner at a sever disadvantage in the event of a roof failure. Mixing materials from different manufacturers will void warranties.

Upon completion of the project North East Roofing Contractors will do a final inspection with the Homeowner and will not be completed until the Homeowner is 100% satisfied.

Our professionalism and efficiency will save you money.

Our foremen and installers are trained in the best roofing techniques.

We strive to be #1 in Customer Service.

Personalized service from our experienced staff.

We offer 24 Hour Emergency Service

    Roof Repairs:

Repairing your current roof system may be an option if the majority of the roof is still performing. We will first perform an assessment to determine obvious deficiencies, then design a specific scope of work precisely detailing the repair. Some repair work carries a 10 Year NO LEAK warranty.

    Flashing Repair:

Chimney flashings are a common failure point roof systems. This is because the chimney expands and contracts independently from the roof. Thus, a flexible flashing is required at all projections. This requires a much higher degree of skill during installation.

    Bathroom Fan Vent:

As our buildings and homes become incredibly airtight due to energy proofing, moisture and vapor problems are becoming an issue. Venting a bathroom ceiling into the attic, or haphazardly rigging a duct to a roof or soffit vent will result in damaged roof deck and may leak to mold.

    Skylight Repair:

North East Roofing has installed and repaired many skylights. Improperly flashed skylights will leak. Also, a failed lens may allow water migration. As always leaks that are not repaired can lead to mold.

    Moisture Detection:

Through manual moisture detection as well as thermograph imagery, North East Roofing is able to trace even the most difficult leaks.

Should I shovel the snow off my roof?

For those of you that are wondering “When should I shovel the snow off my roof?” Here is a

quick rule of thumb to help you if you are concerned.

    Basic calculation

moisture density which may be conservative for our current snow fall. As a rule of thumb,

saturated snow weighs approximately 20 pounds per cubic foot. The moisture content of

snow can range from approximately 1% to 33%, which relates to snow potentially

weighing from 1 pound per cubic foot to over 21 pounds per cubic foot.
    – (for a quick analysis only) This calculation is based on a 25%

    Calculation: S x 1.25 = P
    where:

    S
= Inches of snow on the roof (depth)

    1.25
= Weight of 1 sq ft of snow for each 1-inch of depth

    P
= Pounds per square foot (lbs/sq ft)

    Example:

    20-inch roof snow depth x 1.25 lbs/sq ft =
