Dr. Katz was very knowledgeable and nice. My dog had a lump on his side. He said because of his age (12) that he would not charge an outrageous amount to take a full body scan. Instead he took an aspiration and found out it was a fatty tissue. I am sure most other vets would've charged the max amount to get X-rays when they weren't really needed. He also had a great deal for first timers and only charged $29 for the office visit. I will definitely be returning to see him. Does not overcharge. Also very respectful. Thanks! more

World Class 3/26/2011

I gave Dr. Katz a 5 star, world class rating for a reason. He is the best vet I have ever used. He is considerate of the clients and wonderful to the pets. He and his associates work together as a team, and his staff is just as great as he is. When you leave a message for him to call you, he always returns the call himself. Caring Vet 1/10/2011

Dr. Bell worked us in on a very busy day. It was the last working day before a long holiday weekend. She took time to explain everything to me. My handicapped dog has problems that can pop up quickly. She and the other vets at North Dekalb Vet Clinic are always so helpful and understanding. A big thank you. more

Awesome Vet 11/20/2010

Dr. Katz is not only a wonderful vet , he is a very caring person as well. He called us while he was on vacation in California to check on our puppy. That is above and beyond and was very much appreciated. Thank you Dr. Katz ! more

Best Vets Around 11/20/2010

Dr. Katz and everyone at North Dekalb always go above and beyond for their clients. They always call you back in a timely manner to answer any questions. We have been going there for 3 years and will continue as long as we have pets. more

No vet does more for your pet than North Dekalb 1/7/2009

Our dog "Woody" has been seen several of the vets and technicians over the years, and they all do a wonderful and caring job. Woody had to have a few emergency surgeries over the past year, and each time Dr. Katz was there to keep us updated on his progress. He took time to visit him at the specialist and kept in touch with the different surgeons. We can not thank him and the staff of North Dekalb enough for all that they did for Woody. more

Caring and Thorough 12/22/2007

I have been taking my pets to North DeKalb since my old vet retired about 6 years ago. The waits have been minimal, and the staff extremely nice, and patient with pets who are less than thrilled to be at the vet. The yearly exam is very thourough, I leave feeling that nothing has been missed.\r They are more expensive than my old vet, but the old vet almost left a glass thermometer in my dog's rectum. (Who knows what would have happened if I wasn't paying attention). I never feel as if they are rushing to get through the appointment and they listen to my concerns, I just feel like they are there because they care. I didn't shop around for prices but I suspect they are similar to others in the area. (the old guy was just so cheap I often wondered how he was making a living).\r They will also match the price of mail order medications if you bring in the catalog, and they will let you know if their regular price is cheaper. more

I won't be going back 8/23/2006

North DeKalb Veterinary Clinic, Lawrenceville Highway, Decatur 8/23/06. Receptionist was unbelievably rude. She lectured me about my NAME, for bringing in my sick cat without making an appointment first (even though their telephone recording said nothing about requiring appointments), for bringing my cat to their clinic when all his records were elsewhere (I had moved to this suburb a few weeks before and put my new address on the form), for not bringing the cat in earlier (I came as soon as I got home from work), and for being a month overdue with his vaccinations (hello - I was busy househunting & moving) and then told me that the vet wouldn't be able to do anything for my cat (how would she know?) Left without seeing a vet. more
